St. Joseph University was established in 2016 under govt. act. no. 6. It is a private, catholic research university run by DMI (Daughter of Mary Immaculate) sisters and MMI (Missionaries of Mary Immaculate) fathers with a genuine aim of providing education to the people of Nagaland. The university is recognised by UGC (University Grants Commission) and approved by AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education).

The university offers various courses in Departments of Arts, Science, Engineering and Management. The courses offered by the institute are BA (Hons.), B.SC. (Hons.), BCA, BBA, B.Com. (Hons.), BSW, B.Tech, MA, M.Sc., M.Com., MCA, MBA, and Ph.D.

Admission to all the programs is granted on the basis of merit although for admission to B.Tech. and MBA, the candidates must possess a valid score in the entrance exams (JEE Main and MAT respectively).

St. Joseph University Admission 2024

Considering the present situation the university is conducting online applications for the year. The Online Admission Desk will be working from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on the weekdays.

The admission procedure is undergiven:

Step 1: The candidate should first login in the University's Admission portal

Step 2: After registration, candidates can apply for the desired courses.

Step 3: (Document Verification) Once the process of application is completed, now the candidate has to send the documents the college official Id, i.e. admission@stjosephuniv.edu.in . Send all the documents in a single Mail.

Step 4: After the verification of the documents, the students will be called for a telephonic preliminary interview by the Online Admission Desk.

Step 5: Submit the tuition fee online and after the submission send the E-Receipt on the email id.

St. Joseph University Placements

The placement cell of the college works really hard for the cent percent placement of their students. It works on building linkages between companies and students. The students are well trained before the placement drive to ace the interviews. The placement cell of the college helps the students in making their resumes and prepare them by conducting mock interviews.

St. Joseph University Scholarships

The college provides scholarships to the students who perform well in academics. Even the state government Scholarship is available for the students of reserved categories. Scholarships are also given to the students through the National Scholarship Portal.

Hostel: The college provides a well furnished separate hostel both for boys and girls. The hostels are equipped with sports equipment for the students to flourish their interests in sports. A dedicated warden is always present at the hostel to take care for the students. The hostels have a hygienic dining area and an in-campus food court.
Transportation: The college offers a safe transport system, which covers almost all the prime locations of the city.
Library: The college has a library with books available for almost all the subjects, and a large sitting area.
Laboratories: The college has a physics lab, chemistry lab, zoology lab, botany lab, computer lab, digital electronics lab, biotechnology lab for the students of science stream. Whereas there are various laboratories for engineering students viz. Hydraulic Lab, Survey Lab, Fluid Mechanics Lab and Engineering workshop Lab. The Dream University

Likes

The university is good, they provide all the necessary facilities like smart class, library and for sports like badminton court, basketball court, football field and so on. The cafeteria is also good.

Dislikes

There is less shade inside the campus and during raining season the campus football field becomes muddy. So there needs to be improvement in the football field and also the auditorium which is small, the sounds systems must also be improved

Admission:

I cannot talk about other college as my first preference was this college. It is the best college in the state with all the top faculties. The admission process is very simple. You just have to go to the counter take admission form and submit it and then they'll take an interview of yours. After that if you are selected then they'll allow you to take an admission. There's no hassle in admission process

I choose this course over the other is because it is university and moreever all the teachers are qualified.No, I didn't got rejected from any other colleges.This university is my first priority.The admission process is quite easy it can be both online and offline.

Campus Life is good and it's environmental friendly we get engaged in activities like sports functions and internship
The quality of infrastructure in university is quite good as compared to the others the campus and the learning facilities

Dislikes

The program held in the university is not well organised and the sound system should be replaced and the canteen are way too far

Admission:

In arts the eligibility was 45% and above that a student should score in his/her 12th , the application form the application fees are all available in the front desk of the university that is the front office/fee counter. There are always a non- faculty to guide if any students is finding difficulties in filling up the form. For the exam there is a timing for 3hrs in every exams in per semester there is 3 exams and the last one is hard the first exam is CAT1 (continuous assessment test 1) the second is CAT2 (continuous assessment test 2) and the last is end semester exam where in CAT1 and CAT2 we have to study 2 chapter each but at the end semester we have to cover up 5 chapters in each paper. In regards to the admission process there is nothing to change I should say it's quite good and quick there is nothing to be confused about.

B.tech mechanical engineering is a graduation course which has the duration of 4 years. The course follows semester system and has a good course structure which focuses on practicals and research work. The days are generally tiring and exams are also hectic.
