Student become eligible for campus placements from their 7th semester. Everyday company that you can think of is there in IIT Bombay and there are some companies that only with IIT Bombay in India. The highest package goes around 4 crores and the average package is around 25 lakhs. Almost everyone who applies for placements is placed and a few students wait for higher studies and some prepare for management exams and some of them prepare for government exams so all the students do not sit for placements.

The placements of college are amazing. The average package goes up to 23LPA whereas the median package lies at 18LPA. Also, PPOs are provided to several students. There's more than an 85% of placement ratio. My personal plan is to open my startup before getting a degree.
College management is as good as that of any government institute - however here they are kore inclined to work, and are very helpful. Transparent process and students are notified of all developments.
Iitb is full of positivity in itself and has ample opportunities for a student to explore. It's an institute that guarantees your overall development with exposure to the world. It's open to the idea of each and every person. Most of India's start-ups are started by iitians. Negative would be some extra pressure that comes to be in the number one institute of the country and with that comes to some expectations from everyone around to perform well which all the students are not tough enough to face.
Positive: It's more a jungle, less of college and that's the best part. The environment is very good. The air is too clean. Occasionally we hear stories of leopard sighting, but I never saw them. We also have a hill inside the campus, Sameer hill, on which we can go on hiking, and enjoy the sunrise.
