Availabities of scholarship can be used widely to get financial help.
There are annual fest all year and other celebration over the special occasions .coming to sports it supports sports very well it's a good college join and see why should i ruin the surprise, i hope you all enjoy it
Campus , the faculty members are very friendly and they help there best for the students

Dislikes

Politics is sometimes misused , so fights used to be there. Still manageable
Some teachers seem not to care or are too full of themselves and reduce internal marks for basically nothing
Anyone can go inside the campus and there is no restrictions

Collage infrastructure is very nice and clean
Best place to make more connections due to do many courses are there
Labs are very functional and supportive staff

Dislikes

Cultural events are very less due to previous issues
Students have voiced dissatisfaction with the university's handling of complaints
The ICC addresses complaints related to sexual harassment

Likes

The faculty and staff are very supportive
The college has an in ship in campus which helps us in understanding the inside of ship more and helps in understanding the working of the ship

Dislikes

The hostel facilities need to improve on their facilities
The infrastructure is of old style and need improvement and development

Placement Experience:

The placement in our college has been very good as of late.The batch of 2023 and 2024 had a 100% placement rate.if you do not get placement through campus placement it is going to be a hard road infront of you as then you will have to try placement through agents and agecies which is very risky so try your best to get placement during campus placement itself.if you don't have back papers you have a 99% of securing a placement during campus placement.You will be eligible for placement from semester 6.The companies who frequently visit our campus are Synergy and fleet management.The highest package achieved in our college is of 6 lakh per year and the average package is of 4.5 lakhs.

You Feel like a government college, you get enough freedom
Faculty is not very strict , you can consider them as your friends
College Being relatively small , but you can make enough memories

Dislikes

You should always expect that each month you have to face examss
Facility for Sports is there but not upto the mark

College do provides placement opportunity, but you should make sure that you have enough skills by 3rd year so that you could grab the opportunity whenever a placement company comes to college. Any internship opportunity is also updated in the college group.

Freedom to go anywhere in the university
There is no time restriction in boys hostel
In the college there are so many parties and programs are there

Dislikes

Attendance shortage. For getting 5 internal mark for 95% attendant
They wont published the exam time table of interal , they only published before 2 days
Stressful environmental for engineering students

Course Curriculum Overview:

For BTech the semester is 6 months but they completed within 3 months. Stressful atmosphere and all, the marking system is bad Course curriculum is bad. Suddenly conduct the internal exam, there is new scheme for our batch they took the portion from 3rd year to 2nd year and all. The syllabus for hard compare to other University

College of Engineering Thalassery through my eyes

Likes

Our college do have Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centres (IEDC).
Ragging is strictly prohibited in our campus and we have a robust system in place to prevent and address any incidents.
An active placement cell is also there in our college which would definitely help students improve there technical skills.

Dislikes

Our college is facing some infrastructure challenges.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Our curriculum has subjects like engineering entrepreneurship where we have to develop our own business ideas and make a prototype out of it. Subjects like these prepare us of real world applications. We do have continuous assessment for our lab works.

Campus life is good

Likes

Teachers and college campus were so good.
Lab facilities were so appropriate for access for all students.
Workshops for civil and mechanical labs.

Dislikes

Placements are quite lesse for courses other than cs.
Hostel provided are not enough for all the students.
Wifi access to all the students were not enabled..

Placement Experience:

According to the cgpa and skill development students become eligible to the campus placements. Tcs, Aarbe constructions were often visited. The highest package will ranges from 3-4LPA and the average package is upto 1LPA.

the campus is very beautiful and huge. There is a lot to explore.
The programs and concerts that take place here are the best compared to most of the colleges.
There are a lot of opportunities available here. There a lot of clubs available for enhancing our skills.

Dislikes

Nowadays the frequency of programs and concerts have reduced.
The equipment available in the labs are all old. That is for the mechanical and civil departments only, the computer labs and all are fine
There a lot of stray dogs around the campus, not only dogs but cows bulls and goats are also there, and they poop in the streets

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course here is harder than the rest of the syllabus available. We need to score 50 marks in total to pass a subject, if we can score 24 internal we can just score 26 in sem exam which is compulsory.

Freedom : no restrictions at all you can do whatever you wish to do in the campus legally
Exposure: different people even intentional students are joining also university offers many courses
Night life : Cusat is located at the centre of KOCHI sooo no further explanation required

Dislikes

Uniform : the colour is so irritating and unlike other colleges we have uniforms

Placement Experience:

We have plenty of placements most of them get placed . only students with back paper remain We have ASFE a federation exclusive for sf engineers where you have plenty of job opportunities and most of the people in the federation are alumini of CUSAT

The main attraction of this college was that it had frequent concerts, programs and was very famous among people.
The college campus covers a really large area. It's fun to go exploring all the locations inside the campus itself
People from all over the world come here for education so I got to know so much about different cultures and all.

Dislikes

The syllabus here is tougher than ktu and mg University
It takes so long to get the results that you have to write supplementary even if you have applied for re-evaluation
The exams are conducted consecutively, and each day there is two exams happening . That was for internal exams but when it comes to sem exams we get one day between each exam which is really hard for people like me who don't study well in prior.

Placement Experience:

There campus placements happening really very well, for computer science, fire and safety, IT, EC and EEE but for mechanical and civil the placements are mostly not in the core department. There are really high paying placement happening but that's probably in some other department like sales or IT.

College of engineering thalassery (coet)

The ambiance of the college attracts me a lot.And my seniors are very friendly and no ragging were faced so far.The college union organises many fest and dj program that we all enjoy a lot and the faculties are the best ,they give all the support.
Apart from my school life i got many friends here and the food made in the canteen is top notch.Faculties give importance to students mental health and complete the syllabus slowly but completes it at the correct month end
Very good college bus students can chill out and go

Dislikes

From my house to the college I need to travel for almost 1 hour daily so by the end of the day I became exhausted
Private bus possibilities is less and some missing of advanced technology
Sometimes the behaviour of college bus cleaners is very bad

Placement Experience:

Many high profile companies usually visit our college for campus placement and they provide a quite average salary package.But in the recent years placements are very low which is a usually things we had witnessed in the engineering field
