Course Curriculum Overview

3

It is fine. The curriculum gives us so much stress it really prepare for the high stress we will eventually have to go through. The duration of one sem is really short due to covid so exams happening frequently.

Placement Experience

2

There campus placements happening really very well, for computer science, fire and safety, IT, EC and EEE but for mechanical and civil the placements are mostly not in the core department. There are really high paying placement happening but that's probably in some other department like sales or IT.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have to pay approximately 60000 per year as fees Since I have state merit admission I have less fees compared to all india merit and nri students. For me the fee structure is as follows:- Tuition fee per semester Rs.23620 Library fee Rs.210 Lab fee Rs. 545 Quasi fee Rs. 210 Extracurricular activities footnote Rs.910 Caution deposit Rs.1350 Matriculation fee footnote Rs.350 Co curricular fee Rs.140 Total fee Rs 27965 This is per semester. For sc/st candidates total fee is really low, around 1300 per semester.

Campus Life

5

The infrastructure is very nice and the social life is really good here. The night life is amazing. There are a lot of clubs which maybe engineering oriented or art oriented. Clubs here are very active and go for national level competitions. The NSS is very active here and a great way to get to know so many people.

Admission

I had written CAT exams which is the exam for admission to cusat and keam which is for the ktu universities. I had really low rank in keam but had gone to a ktu syllabus college. But it wasn't what I expected a college to be, it was strict just like a school and the campus was not that great but the people there were amazing. And the location of that college was not to my liking. Whereas Cusat was just what I expected. And I had friends living nearby.

Faculty

4

The faculty are all very nice. They really interact with us and help us with academics as well as our personal affairs if approached. There are some faculties who just want to torture us but very rarely. The exams are a bit difficult here compared to other colleges in the state. We need 50 marks overall. We need compulsory 26 marks in sem exam, so if you have 24 marks as total internal mark we'll pass the subject.

Night Life

5

The night life is great. Most of the people get out of their rooms at night. There are lot of food spots and tea shops all around the campus. Going for a tea is a nice and easy way to make friends here. There are places to just go and chill all around the place.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is the worst. Teachers rush through the portions so that they can finish at the earliest. It may be because the university has a unjustifiable timetable. There is very little practicals given. The ones that are given are just for namesake.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

Placement Experience:

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.
