How is civil engineering at CUSAT?

CUSAT is considered to be a good place for Civil Engineering, considering the academic and exposure provided by the institute. CUSAT is a university that had colleges under it in the past. Now it only has colleges or schools to be exact. Which are under the main university campus. Following are the various schools affiliated with CUSAT University. SOE: It stands for School of Engineering and deals with UG engineering courses. Old SOE: It deals with Grad and Ph.D. courses. It also comprises various departments for MCA. SLS: It stands for School of Legal Studies and deals with the law courses. SMS: It stands for School of Management Studies and deals with business-related courses. Kunjali Marakkar School of Marine Engineering: It deals with marine engineering courses. The above-mentioned schools constitute the main campus. This is not the entire CUSAT, there is another campus for the university. Lakeside Campus: The Lakeside campus is around 12 km from the main campus. It is set in Cochin city on the estuarine waterfront. It consists of the School of Ocean Science and Technology, School of Industrial Fisheries, Department of Atmospheric Sciences, Department of Chemical Oceanography, Department of Marine Biology, Microbiology and Biochemistry, Department of Marine Geology and Geophysics, and Department of Physical Oceanography. The School of Marine Sciences has a library that is regarded as one of the largest marine science libraries in Asia and a research vessel for coastal water studies. The school has academic interactions with other universities and research institutes in India and abroad. Apart from this, there is also CUCEK in Kuttanad, also known as the Pulincunnoo campus. Which is best, civil or EEE in CUSAT?

Out of the two branches, Civil Engineering from CUSAT is the better choice. The following reasons will justify the choice. The median package offered by the branch is INR 4.5 LPA. The branch has a cut-off of 2313, i.e., quality people get admitted. The Civil Department has excellent and experienced faculty. They provide quality learning to their students. The campus is vast, spread across 180 acres. You can enjoy life with academics. There are extra-curricular and practical learning opportunities throughout the years. The curriculum followed by CUSAT is quite decent and well-framed. It is considered to be more rigid than other universities. But it is not very difficult to grasp if you put in hard work. The year wise fees will be below 1lakh for merit students and it will be above 1lakh for nri and other categories. For sc/st categories the fees will be very lower as compared to the fees in the government colleges. All students are avail for many types of scholarships.

Since i am having state merit admission I have less fees compared to All india merit and NRI candidates. My college review

The faculties are good and helpfull.they are supportive .every subject contains mainly 2 series exam and 40 for internal and 60 for external .overall its good

Our free structure is early 40000.but in first year year total fee we pay is about 50000.overall fee for 4 year is about 217880 rupees.the scholarship our college provide mainly 2 scholarship they are egrance and prakathi etc...but this scholarship mainly get for the student of SC and ST and OEC categories.

My college

I have took admission in 2023 in college of engineering thalassery kannur. I got a seat of spot admission and spot admission students are said to pay 51000 ?/year as tuition fee. In first year we have gave caution deposit of 20000 rs which college said it will be returned. There are some other fees like exam registration etc..in first year i got an approve for scholarship of Egrantz which provide 900rs /month.

My views

The yearwise fees I'm paying is 48000. Tution fees, admission fees , development fess, lab fees are also there. It is around 3000 to 4500. I also paying the fees for hostel. The fees required for 1 month for hostel is 2000 rupees .

Yearly tuition fee is around 40000rs plus other charges and intotal it will be around 50k-60k its is for general and obc people for reservation category students its low and about somewhere between 15k-30k we can apply for scholarships from colleges there are so many scholarships available.we can select according to our needs
