How do I convert a GPA to a % in CUSAT?

Ramesh Randhawa

CGPA to percentage conversion varies by university—always use your institution's official formula.

Conversion methods:

  • Common Formula: Percentage = CGPA × 9.5 (widely used but not universal).
  • University-Specific: Some use CGPA × 10, CGPA × 9, or custom multipliers—verify officially.
  • Marksheet Reference: Recent marksheets often display both CGPA and percentage equivalents.
  • Official Certificate: For job applications or admissions, request university-issued conversion certificate.
  • Grade Point Scale: 10-point, 4-point, and 5-point scales use different conversion factors.

Check your university's examination section website for authorized conversion formulas. Avoid third-party converters—they may not match your university's method.

What is the reputation of cusat students?

Nikkil Visha
Aparna VermaStudied at Cochin University of Science and Technology

CUSAT has a good reputation not just in Kerala, but in other parts of India as well. The graduates of our university are treated with respect by recruiters, who know the high academic standards of CUSAT.

My brother went for an off campus interview at a Mumbai based company. The interviewer asked him about his academic achievements, and he replied that he was just an average student. The interviewer smiled and said that to score 65 percentile in CUSAT is a good thing, and that my brother was better off than the graduates of many other universities.

This proves that CUSAT and its students are viewed in a positive light by industry experts.

  3. The crowd of CUSAT is very friendly. Make friends with people on campus.
  4. Follow your professors’ guidelines and approach them with your doubts. The faculty of the CSE department is quite helpful.
  5. Share your ideas with others and implement them. Don’t let your innovative ideas go in vain.
  6. Participate in cultural activities on campus.
  7. Learn the local language, explore the local culture, and make friends with some local Keralite students.
  8. Explore the local area, participate in sports, and try to be as active as possible.

Collegedunia Team
Anusree P K

The faculty members are experienced and technically strong. Most teachers are friendly, approachable and helpful for academics, projects and research work. The faculty student ratio is good since Mtech batches are small , so students got better interactions with professors. Some faculty members are very supportive and teachers explain concepts with practical examples are usually liked by students. However, a few faculty members are very theory oriented and strict im evaluation, which some students may not prefer. The course curriculum is relevant and covers subjects like industrial automation, process control, embedded systems, signal processing and research oriented topics. Labs, seminars, project works , and a final year thesis are also included. The exam system is moderately difficult and includes internal exams , assignments, seminars, and end semester university exams. Marks arr divided between internal assessments and external marks.
