How are the hostels at CUSAT?

The hostel facilities are good and there are many university hostels for students. Rooms have basic facilities like cot, table, chair, fan. The hostel atmosphere is comfortable for studies and student life. The mess food is average with both vegetarian and non vegetarian options. Hostel admission is simple after course admission and the fees are affordable compared to private pg, rented rooms near the campus

The hostel is spacious and offer necessary facilities Hostel is hygienic and clean Toilets and bathrooms are cleaned everyday except on Sundays and the rooms are cleaned every two days The hostel is affordable, around 16,000 for 6 months Not including mess fees

There are 6 girls hostels and 9 boys hostels as of now but 2 are under construction. The food provided there is excellent especially for the alakananda hostel. The quality is amazing. The hostel fee is rupees 500 per month excluding food and monthly rate of food come around 2500 per month it is varying. This is the case of university hostel. There is a caution fee upon admission to hostel which is rupees 1000 and an admission fee of rupees 1350 for hostel seperately. The admission procedure is simple you have to apply online while joining. Getting hostel upon joining itself might not be possible so you might have to take private hostels. There are plenty of private hostels near by. This may cost you about 6000 rupees per month.

The hostels are less for ladies and it is allotted based on the distance from where u are if the home to college distance is huge u will get the hostel in 1st or 2nd year otherwise it is difficult and I got the hostel in 4th year that even as a guest. The room has bed ,cupboards ,1 desk and chair each for the students . There is a website wherein u can apply for hostel. And also there are lot of private pg in and around the college

I m at university hostel. It is an average experience for me about the hostels. Here we have seven hostels : three for boys and four for girls. They have timings. All have to enter the hostel before 11:00 PM.
