Likes

Freedom to go anywhere in the university
There is no time restriction in boys hostel
In the college there are so many parties and programs are there

Dislikes

Attendance shortage. For getting 5 internal mark for 95% attendant
They wont published the exam time table of interal , they only published before 2 days
Stressful environmental for engineering students

Course Curriculum Overview

For BTech the semester is 6 months but they completed within 3 months. Stressful atmosphere and all, the marking system is bad Course curriculum is bad. Suddenly conduct the internal exam, there is new scheme for our batch they took the portion from 3rd year to 2nd year and all. The syllabus for hard compare to other University

Class Size: 120Course Fees: INR 108000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

In CUSAT there are three types of merit one state merit, all India merit and NRI for state merit around 24000, all India merit 54000 and NRI it's 70000 per semester. I got selected in all India merit and I am paying 432000 total.

Campus Life

There are so many clubs and activities provided by the University the overall experience or good. We can earn so many extra skills there are so many competition were there National level and international level.

Admission

Cochin University is better than any other college. There certificate is more valuable than any other University in Kerala. Basically go through international standard. There are so many extra activities other than studying we can earn extra skills from University. They support startup machines and innovations

Faculty

There are so many PhD holder professors, the way of teaching is international . But marking system and all are bad. If they have any personal issues with the students they will cutoff our internal marks. Not all are same but so many good teachers there . The conduct the supplementary exam and semester exam without any gap.

Night Life

The nightlife is good in the campus. For boys there is no restriction in hostel and we can go out anytime. For girls the hostel time is available to 12:00 am. There are so many securities so there is no problem in the night. Horror freedom is available in the university.

An honest college review

Placement Experience:

From the 7th semester students become eligible for placements. The top recruiters in it sectors are Infosys, TCS, Cognizant, Tata Elxsi, Accenture, Oracle, Amazon, Wipro, UST GLOBAL, IBM. The top recruiters in other sectors are Mu Sigma, Ernst and young,, federal Bank, h and r block. Most of the placement are in it and related sectors. The average package is 4 to 6 lpa.The highest package is 34 lpa in Amazon. In 2024, 35 percent of students got placed. I will look to get campus placement in a reasonable package or I will try to get jobs by other means.

College Feels Like Home

Placement Experience:

The placement department in our college is great and is always trying to bring good companies to the college. The placement training starts from semester 7. Our top recruiter include Infosys, TCS, Wipro, NocoBD, Delloite, etc. and our mechanical, civil, EEE,ECE all got placements with avg of 4lpa.The highest package where 12 Lpa for SAP. My plans is to get a good job and lead a stable life.

They provide placement packages from a minmum of 4lpa to 12 lpa.. But most of the students got 4 lpa packages, it is very difficult to crack higger packages, but most of the cs students got placement andd students of other departments palcement is not good.

I have not applied for any other colleges in kerala as i consider Cochin univeristy a bit efficient than KTU also the location is a prime factor, as companies rely on location, airport is close to my campus, the railway station as well, transportaion is easy here .
