The college is too strict with attendance,if a student’s attendance is below 85 he has to pay a fine of ?5000,?3000 and ?2000 and if the student has a less than 75% attendance then he/she is detained which is very wrong ~ Abhinaba Bhuyan, BA

The honest review

Likes

The amount of opportunities in christ is something one should be thankful of
Excellent and well trained faculty with years of experience and knowledge
It gives importance to extra curricular and also focuses on practical knowledge

Dislikes

The attendance criteria is too complex and the faculty is very strict at times
The helping staff are not good and very insensitive
Some of the faculty are not even qualified to teach

The curriculum is a perfect blend of practical and theoretical knowledge and it helps students improve their theoretical and practical knowledge. They also focus on value added courses like academic writing and even holistic development and even multi disciplinary courses

Likes

Gifts us with many opportunities and ensures every student can expands his skill
Really good infrastructure and presents a good college life
Promotes sports , dance and other extra curricular activities as well

Dislikes

The college is too strict and rules are mandatory to be followed
We are expected to maintain a attendance of 85 percentage and that sucks
You are allowed only to wear formal shirt and pants

College life at Christ University

Likes

The amount of clubs, festing and events that goes on around campus
Huge campus with lot of greenery and good infrastructure
The people around the campus are really good and it’s a very social place

Dislikes

The college and teachers are very strict and there is long procedures for getting approval on even small things
The course will be hard and efforts will have to be put in
This is not something that I dislike but was asked to be mentioned. The boys to girl ratio in my class is around 3:1

Placement Experience:

Students can sit for placement at start of 3rd year. Most finance companies come for placement. Some big companies come offering internships and if selected ones do well at the company they will be offered a job directly.The average placement for BCom is around 8 lakhs per annum. The highest placement this year was taken by a BCom student and he got offered a 25 lakhs per annum package. 99% of students who sit for placements gets places

christ university an overview

Likes

i like the green campus with good resources and clean learning facilities
the girl to boy ratio is 1.5:1 in favour of girls
the faculty holds expertise in their respective subjects and are prestiged over all academic aspects

Dislikes

the disparity of north and south Indian students is prevalent
the schedule is tight with zero to no breathing room
the number of assignments keep pilling and missing one means a lot of backlog

Placement Experience:

the placement system is diverse with major companies participation and the process is easy to follow if not placed on campus the students gets approached by major firms as type prestige of the college is that major

pros and cons of christ

Likes

the campus must be the best thing to ever be in bengaluru, with the lush green surrounded around the entire campus providing calm nature to spend more time there, it has got a lot of playing fields and open area where we can just sit and chill
students handling most of the events with more than 50 clubs around the campus
well trained staff with great ability to teach

Dislikes

minimum attendance is 75 and they are serious about it
faculties sometimes take more than expected class to finish the syllabus
dress code is very strict compared to others

main reason to choose this course was that it was easy to complete, and would give me more time for others, the curriculum is very well connected with real life situations as its not only about subjects

Christ University: Holistic growth and the best you can find in Bangalore.

Likes

The Exposure we get is something that is very useful. The opportunity to network is endless due to the constant fests that take place across an entire semester. It helps you gain experience and really push your limits.
The competitive college environment. In terms of academic, extracurricular and everything it is very motivating and really helps you exceed your own expectations
Facilities: For example the library, the inexpensive bloomberg lab,

Dislikes

The Faculty: At least in my department the proffesors are teaching beyond their expertise and are egotistical.
The Workload: The work is very tedious and taxing.
The Cafeterias: They keep increasing the price but the food is still bad.

The course that i am doing is something that is in demand right now. It has the right balance of finance and data analytics. We have a blend of coding languages, statististics, finance and accounting.

I like the overall experience and atmosphere of the college.
I like the infrastructure of the college.
I like the vibes of college,greenry as well as students.

I don't like behaviour of the faculty of my college.
I sometimes disliked the cultural discrimination that students face.

Placement Experience:

Yes the students who got admission in this university got opportunity for placements.There are many companies which provides placement while being in college and come to our college.Some of those companies are Goldman,Sachs de Shaw, Accenture and others companies. Average placement that students got are 7 lakhs for ug students and 11 or 12 lakhs for pg students.

Likes

Their faculty and their innovation of thinking
They also provide us new skills in which we can enhance our personality
They keep us updated how to tackle with the outer world

Dislikes

More money more investment but many time outcome is less
They do extra stuffs more than compromising on the main thing
Lack of timing and schedules they have between the events

Likes

I like the students, the way they interact is good
I like the campus and it's very clean and maintenance is good
It provides many opportunities in sports as well as in academics

Dislikes

Students make their own group and they don't interact with other after making their own
Attendance is the issue as the minimum attendance is 85 percent

Placement Experience:

The university provides with great placements to the students. The university help the students in placements by providing the knowledge process of placement. The companies which have visited for the placement are Deloitte, oracle,Wipro and BOSCH. The highest package from 5lakh to 8lakh.

The campus is well maintained and you will have an anti ragging environment
The teachers are interactive and there are different clubs to participate and sharpen ur skills
Apart from studies it also focuses on other curriculum activities

Dislikes

The department is bit stirct abt dress code
Its also focuses on well groomed and clean shave appearance
And the college is still developing so there maybe some issues

Course Curriculum Overview:

So theres a club where you can take part and it will teach you how to make your own linkedin profile or improve ur interview skills amd communication skills . So basically there are 4 exam 2assignments and 2 written exam i think teacher should not only teach students continuously but at times divert the topic towards relaxation.
