- College environment is good. Every students here are helpful and future oriented.Most of the Professors are friendly and ready to help.Seniors are also helpful. There is respect between seniors and juniors here. 75% attendance is compulsory here .
- Campus Life is okay okay. You will not find campus Life of this NIT that good.
- College infrastructure is good. Classrooms are fully AC and top notch. Labs are old but in upcoming years they are going to make new labs.Hostels are also good. Library is there and also playground for different sports.
Dislikes
- Course curriculum and most of the professor. They will give you tons of work that has no use and award you less marks.
- Campus is not that attractive.you will not find everything.
- Mess food is worst. They will give you variety of food but the quality is worst.
Placement Experience:
From 3rd year placement process starts . Placement stats are good here. More than 95 %+ students placed every year. Big companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Atalassian, Flipkart come here. I personally want to take part in placement. I have no plan for higher degree for now .

- The things I liked in this college is they appreciate your ideas.
- I like the fests conduct by college like OJASS (technical fest) and CULFEST (cultural fest).
- The seniors of this college are very supportive.
Dislikes
- I don't like the open campus Facility. Anyone can roam inside this campus.
- I don't like the infrastructure because it is old.

The placement of this college is very good.
from 6th semester students getting internships and many of them got PPO. Companies visited like Atlassian, Deloitte, LNT, Microsoft etc. The average package is about 15lac per year and the Highest package in 2023 was 83lac per annum. In 2023 approximately 98% of students placed.

- Great placement and great infrastructure.
Placement Experience:
From 7th semester onwards students become eligible for campus placement. Companies like atlassian, Wells Fargo and many other big companies comes for campus placement.
higjest package as of now is 83 lpa by atlassian and average package overall is 14 lpa. In 2023 total percentage of placed student was 99%.

- Placements are quite well here the highest package for computer science department was 83 lakhs per annum with an average of 27lpa . Placements of various core branches are also other than many tier 1 universities
- Seniors are supportive ,they will guide in your campus life as well as in coding.
Dislikes
- The infrastructure of this collage is not at like nit, you have only lecture hall and hostels and nothing.
- Campus life is soo boring here . you only have a single playground with no gym.

In first year all the branches will have common syllabus which is not useful and your core only starts from your second year where you will get tonlearn everything in detail according to international standards

- I liked the class rooms are well equipped with both black and white board and with a projector they give good environment and they are central air conditioned
- The campus is greeny with full of trees and the distance between lecture hall and hostels is also not that far it is quite comfortable
- Sports,technical and cultural clubs are good and well maintained
Dislikes
- Hostels for girls is not that good .A room is shared with 3 members so better keep expectation low
- Food is not that satisfactory at the same time not that bad also
- As it is an open campus few restrictions are to followed
Course Curriculum Overview:
In an year there are 2 mis sems and 2 end sems you can more time before end sem but the gap between mid sem end sem is small . Cg is not relative according to you grade cg is give so it depends on what you write and also the correction of the particular professor
In josaa councelling i got this particular course nothing special in choosing this course

- Placement is pretty good for all branches .
- Campus is pretty huge and amenities are good too
- Locality is superb, people around campus are helpful like giving free rides to students.. haha
Dislikes
- Drinking water is not available in hostel or college lecture building.... you will have to buy drinking water from outside services.
- Campus is open , many people roam around in campus who are outsiders ...... in morning ground and roads are occupied by outsiders for working out ...
- It doesn't deserve NIT status , administration is fully corrupted, you can't question their actions or you will be targeted academically or also politically. In short its even worse than state government colleges. I am trying to be honest as i can
Placement Experience:
Students can apply for jobs in their 7th semester. Around 700 offers are made to students. Big companies like TATA, AWS, and Amazon hire from our college. This year, the highest salary offered was 83 LPA. In the Computer Science department, 97% of students find jobs, and other departments also have good placement rates, with over 90% of students getting jobs. The average salary for Computer Science students is 27 LPA, while the overall average salary is 15 LPA.

- First of all, 50% of students come here after seeing the hostel of this college which is very good in compare with other NITs
- Placement of this college is very good. And it is top 10 NIT according to placements.
- Classrooms are very good with well centralized AC and technologies are available in classroom.
Dislikes
- It have 300acres of campus but 75% campus is unused. And campus is very unstructured type. Also the campus is open and always you will see the public is passing through the road. Or people from outside is playing in the college ground.
- Physics, chemistry labs are very old type. It should be updated.
- Here you will not find any department wise buildings.
Placement Experience:
Students become eligible for placements in 7th semester.
Total number of offers made are around 700.
Many reputed company hires from our college such as TATA, AWS, Amazon,etc.
Highest package of this year was 83 LPA.
In CSE department, 97% of students get placed in our college. And rest other are also decent with above 90% placement.
Average package in CSE department is 27lpa. While overall average package is 15lpa.

- The ambience, no ragging culture, the beautiful campus.
- Its class room are just awesome, all are AC classroom.
- Its central library is quite big and beautiful
Dislikes
- The campus lacks greenary and is dusty and very warm.
- The distance between hostel and academic building is quite large
- The mess food is just average and sometimes bad.

- No places to visit in jamshedpur,there are very few places
- I think the teachers quality should be a bit low,faculty should be changed bit
- Cleanliness and food quality of the hostels are a bit low

Placement Experience:
Placement Is one the best Part of NIT JAMSHEDPUR.
Placement wise , we can easily rank nit jsr among top 5 nits. Students are eligible for FTE offers from 6th semester onwards . Talking about FY23, the placement percentage was close to 98% and the overall package of College was 12Lpa Companies like Atlassian, Samsung, Amazon,Nykaa, Mesho, Uber, Zepto, Tata Steel, Jsw Steel, Optum recruited students from nit jsr. A total of around 700 offers were made in FY23.
I am planning to go for higher studies after my btech degree.

My friend recently graduated from NIT Jamshedpur. Here is her review.
Location: The campus is located in Adityapur, surrounded by industries. It is a bit away from Tatanagar Railway Station. Since Jamshedpur doesn’t have an airport the best way to reach the campus is from Ranchi via NH-33.
Infrastructure-wise: Both the hostels and the computer centers are revamped. The main buildings of the campus are still under further development but are expected to be in maintenance soon. However, the mega hostels, known as J & K, are an enhanced sight of the campus.
Academics
- The quality of professors or the methodology of their teaching is quite not up to the mark. Few professors of the institute somewhat still follow the old pedagogy and are sometimes not cooperative. On contrary, the newly appointed Ad-hoc faculties are supportive and are willing to guide students.
- Students of the institute perform well in competitive examinations. Many made it to IITs, IIMs, or various international institutes as well.
- The Central Workshop and laboratories, substantially Fluid, Thermodynamics, and Metallurgical are not quite well maintained.
Placement Reports:
A few major recruiting companies are (in respective branches) as follows.
- CSE: Amazon, Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle
- ECE: Amazon, Oracle Finance, Wipro, Mahindra Comviva
- EEE: Tata Steel, JSW Steel, L&T, BPCL

- MME: JSW Steel, Vedanta, Tata Metaliks, Tata Steel

FIITJEE, Rao Academy, Career Point, etc, are examples of coaching institutes that recruited as well. The highest package received was 30 LPA while the average salary was 12 LPA
Extracurricular Activities:
The TechnoManagement fest, Ojass, and Cultural fest, Culfest are the major events of the institute. There are several automobile teams as well, like Team Phoenix, the aircraft team; Team Rays, the hybrid car team and Team Daksh, Off road car team.
