- The main building of the college is very good. classes have the many facilities which are even not available in IITs. Classes are fully air conditioner.
- The other thing I like most extra curricular activities in my college they also worked on community skills and soft skills they conduct many event
- The nature of the professors also helping in nature.the college also conduct event on current problems in placement and they give us guidance
Dislikes
- The other thing I dislike the most welcome have to spend too much money to explore the city. College should work on it
- The last thing I dislike the most is 3 seater hostel rooms for girls. The safety for girls is good
Placement Experience:
The college placement of year 2024 is good in comparison of other colleges. It is 92 to 93 % . And in branch computer science it is 93%. In electrical engineering it is 92% in electronic and communication it is 91% and in civil engineering it is 90% for metallurgy it is 100% . Overall the placement is very good.after 6th semester the students are eligible for campus placement.amazon, Flipkart, Wipro , Infosys , Google , Microsoft many famous companies visit the college.my plan after getting degree to take a job . highest package is 82lakh ane lowest package is 5lakh.average package of all branches is 12.34lakh per annum.

- We have a large lush green campus.the campus is very clean and beautiful.
- Our new academic building is just breathtaking
- The alumini network of the college is among the best as it was made in 1962.
Dislikes
- Because of the college being very old the hostel facilities are not upto the mark
- The workshops and labs need to be renovated
- I did not like the attendance criteria .
Placement Experience:
Tej placenta of our college is among the best in case of NIT'S as even during the recession our college 's placement ratio and average and mean packages didn't suffered much downfall and several companies offered very large packages to students of our college

- I liked many things like the friends I met there the atmosphere of the college the fest the sports facility and the academic building of our college
- I liked many things the friend the college atmosphere the concert the clubs in our college
- The best part is our beloved professor who have so much of knowledge
Dislikes
- I disliked ragging I don't like when someone disrespect us
- The behaviour of seniors and juniors both should be good
Placement Experience:
Our placement statistics is way better than any college our we can consider it as topmost even it's placement is in top 5 nit whether considering lower branches per above branches each type of branches have almost 100 Percent placement and the package is also very good

- things which i liked the most are its fabulous placements
- large number socio cultural and sports clubs are there.
- coding culture is very good & technical clubs are just best.
Dislikes
- since being one of the oldest nit since 1956 some building and labs are very old but new classrooms are topnotch
- professors does not give marks easily, and phd graduates and mtech students are rude.
- SPORTS facilities can be imporoved and one last thing we have an OAT BUT DONT HAVE CLOSED AUDI
Placement Experience:
from 6 semester means third year people are eligible for campus placements,companies like MICROSOFT ATLACIAN ADOBE QUALCOMM GOOGLE etc visits highest package offerd is about 87 lakhs pa and avg is about 23 lakhs for ece and 27 lpa for cse 95 percent placements.

- The academics hare is very tough and challenging.
- The professor comes regularly and give assignment and are very supportive.
- The campus environment is very supportive for overall skill development.
Dislikes
- The campus is open and people from outside can come.
- The campus building are too old and need redevelopment.
- There is tough competition to maintain cgpa.
Placement Experience:
The placements of not Jamshedpur are extremely good with respect to other colleges at this rank.
If you are in circuital branches then it offers extremely good packages.
For core branches nit Jamshedpur is the best option as it is located in the industrial hub city of Jamshedpur.
Almost all students are placed approx 98 % for every branch.
Some year it is about 100 percent.

From 5th sem. students are eligible for campus placement.
TATA,JSW, Jindal steel, Atlassian,Amazon,Hindustan unilever etc.
Highest package is 83 LPA and average is 6-7 LPA.
Around 90 % students get their Placement every year.

- I am thrilled to share my experience at NIT Jamshedpur, where my engagement with campus life was nothing short of exceptional.
- It's really easy to meke friends here and the seniors are very supportive as well. Apart from seniors the faculty members are also very supportive
- The placement opportunities provided by the college are exceptional. The college has a strong track record of placing students in reputable companies
Dislikes
- The quality of infrastructure is one of the area where our college could improve.
- The diversity you expect from a college, you'll not get here I mean most of the students will be either from Bihar or Jharkhand.
- The course curriculum is not that tough, you'll get a lot of time with you. But the college doesn't support innovation a lot
Placement Experience:
The placement opportunities of our college is fantastic. About 98 percent of our college students where placed last year.
The maximum CTC was 83.40 LPA.
And the average CTC was about 16 LPA.
I think our college has the best placement stats if you compare it to a college with a similar rank.

- Firstly, is the DJLHC or The Diamond Jubilee Lecture Hall Complex, the place where all classes and events takes place. It's fully air conditioned and lecture hall is quite large having capacity of about 150 students. Also there are some virtual rooms
- Second is the Up's where we have badminton, tennis, basketball and volleyball court and also an open gym.
- Next is hostels its among one of the colleges that rarely provides single room from second year of course its the beat thing.
Dislikes
- Open campus, its not a closed campus there is a small village behind college whose entry and exit is through college main gate
- Infrastructure is not well maintained you will see tall tall grasses along pathway which are not properly trimmed
Placement Experience:
Placements here are outstanding almsost 97-98 students gets placed every year and talking of my branch that is mechanical the placement record is 100% in last two years. Few students do not participate in placement program as they choose to study ahead and go for their Masters degree

- The main Lecture Hall Complex is top notch as it has all centralised AC and projectors, mic in each class
- Hostels are too good, facilities are provided very well, we get single occupancy from second years itself,
- Faculties are very enthusiastic in teaching and all classes run very well, teachers are cooperative with students
Dislikes
- Water facilities are the main problem in hostels during summer time
- Sports facilities are limited and no coaches are provided
- There is very less investment on greenery Maintance
Placement Experience:
The students are eligible for placement in 7th semester. The average placement of the college was 16 LPA in 2023 and average placement of Production and industrial Engineering branch was 11.27 LPA in 2023. The companies like Tata motors , Tata Steel, ICICI Bank, JSW, Deloitte and many more company allow Production and industrial engineering branch

- Placement opportunities in every branch is good and enough offers come for the recruitment.
- Academic culture is good as some professor are very helpful.
- There are many clubs and societies present in the college which helps to increase your leadership skills and communication skills.
Dislikes
- The land provided by the central government is not used beneficially as maximum land is not utilised till now..
- There is no Auditorium present in the college.
Placement Experience:
Placements are good in NIT Jamshedpur.
From the 4th year of Btech, students become eligible for campus placement.
There are many companies that have recruited from our college like L&T, Adani, O9 Solutions, etc
About 90% of students have been placed in the college.

My friend recently graduated from NIT Jamshedpur. Here is her review.
Location: The campus is located in Adityapur, surrounded by industries. It is a bit away from Tatanagar Railway Station. Since Jamshedpur doesn’t have an airport the best way to reach the campus is from Ranchi via NH-33.
Infrastructure-wise: Both the hostels and the computer centers are revamped. The main buildings of the campus are still under further development but are expected to be in maintenance soon. However, the mega hostels, known as J & K, are an enhanced sight of the campus.
Academics
- The quality of professors or the methodology of their teaching is quite not up to the mark. Few professors of the institute somewhat still follow the old pedagogy and are sometimes not cooperative. On contrary, the newly appointed Ad-hoc faculties are supportive and are willing to guide students.
- Students of the institute perform well in competitive examinations. Many made it to IITs, IIMs, or various international institutes as well.
- The Central Workshop and laboratories, substantially Fluid, Thermodynamics, and Metallurgical are not quite well maintained.
Placement Reports:
A few major recruiting companies are (in respective branches) as follows.
- CSE: Amazon, Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle
- ECE: Amazon, Oracle Finance, Wipro, Mahindra Comviva
- EEE: Tata Steel, JSW Steel, L&T, BPCL
- ME: Tata Motors, L&T, Tata Steel, BPCL
- MME: JSW Steel, Vedanta, Tata Metaliks, Tata Steel
- CE: Simplex, L&T
- PIE: Tata Hitachi, JK Tyre, JK Paper, Tata Motors
FIITJEE, Rao Academy, Career Point, etc, are examples of coaching institutes that recruited as well. The highest package received was 30 LPA while the average salary was 12 LPA
Extracurricular Activities:
The TechnoManagement fest, Ojass, and Cultural fest, Culfest are the major events of the institute. There are several automobile teams as well, like Team Phoenix, the aircraft team; Team Rays, the hybrid car team and Team Daksh, Off road car team.
