Everything about NIT JAMSHEDPUR

I was getting Electric Engineering at my rank so I chose this branch. Course curriculum is very old so I don't think they will make you fully ready for industry. You have to make efforts by your own. Yes you can take help from professors. Most of them are helpful. They should update syllabus according to present need. In one semester there is two exam - Midsem and endsem of 30 and 50 marks respectively.

Tata, Flipkart, Atalassian, Amazon , Microsoft and others companies give internship opportunities. You have to make unique projects as competition is increasing and they are demanding skill people. Overall experience will be good. I talked to seniors.

From 3rd year placement process starts . Placement stats are good here. More than 95 %+ students placed every year. Big companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Atalassian, Flipkart come here. I personally want to take part in placement. I have no plan for higher degree for now .

For general with yearly income more than 500000 have to pay all the tution fee of 140000 . If income is less than 5 lakh they they have to pay 1/3rd of total fees. For OBC and SC St if income is less than 1 lakh they will charge you zero tution fees and if more than 1 lakh you have to pay 1/3rd of total fees.

Big fests like OJASS And CULFEST are there. You will surely enjoy by taking part in it. Singers and celebrities comes to perform. You can access books for 15 days from Library . Classrooms are top notch. Fully AC and clean. Sports club are active so you can take part. In this year NIT JAMSHEDPUR hosted the Inter NIT Chessz table tennis and yoga. There are different clubs in which you can take part.

Hostel rooms are good with one bed ,table and a chair. You have to pay around 32000 per year as a rent for hostel only. For mess you have to pay 34000 per year. Mess food is not that good. You can take room in nearby town adityapur.

You have to score 75% marks in 12th . You have to give JEE mains examination and atleast you have to score 96+ percentile to get atleast lower branch in this college. You will get application form of JEE MAINS on NTA website. Every year this exam happens for two time. Difficulty level is medium.

On every 120 students there is one faculty. Most of the faculty are experienced but I personally don't like there teaching. You will not learn much in classroom. They only come for the purpose of syllabus completion.
