The faculty of our department is very nice. they have very strong knowledge of the subject and also they are involved in very good research project.
Yes college also provide many scholarships to students and they were too helping.
"hillfair"-this is the cultural festival of the college two unforgettable nights filled with fun, joy, laughter, entertainment, learning, bonding, interacting with batchmates as well as seniors for the overall growth.

Dislikes

The placements of my college have became quite bad gradually, and they have fallen quite badly .
Hostels and their washroom are in pathetic condition. mess food is also not up to the mark . overall hostel condition is not good. almirah and chairs are broken ,
Teachers and staffs are bit of biased to the himachal pradesh

Likes

The campus is very much neat and clean having good infrastructure
There are lot of clubs and societies and good alumni network
There is good facility for sport persons.

Dislikes

For 1st year there are lot of restrictions.
The mess food is not that much good it is decent
There is lot of study and exam pressure.

Location and infrastructure of college is amazing and very beautiful. I love the peace and the nature vibes of this institute. The weather of the campus is also very nice and calm. There is much lush greenery inside as well as outside of campus .
The supportive nature of professors I like most about academics. Professors helps a lot to understand the concept. The most of professor are the members of anti ragging society so that students can share them about any problem that they face in clg.
I like the supportive and friendly nature of seniors towards their juniors especially for freshers Apart from this , there are many clubs that fascinates us . All the seniors helps us in academics as well as extracurricular activitas well as extracur

Dislikes

The one thing that I most is the poor sanitation facilities that provided to us . I don't like the food very much but the food is decent enough good.
Another thing is poor transportation facilities.
Not much bad things about college but one last bad things that I don't like is the animals and lizards in campus because of big forest like area sometimes I faced the monkeys, dogs and even monitor lizards roaming in the hostels.

Placement Experience:

Students eligible to seat in interview for placement from third year (6th semester) Many MNCs and startup companies visit the college oftenly such as Microsoft, Nvidia, Infosys, reliance, tata, Walmart, Wipro, JP Morgan , etc. Almost 1290 offers made this year 82% of students placed this year After getting degree I planned today become a data enginner and continue my career as data scientist.

Peaceful environment very good for studies and for extra curricular activities.you get opportunity for everything you want

Dislikes

Reachabilty and transportation is expensive
In a very offbeat area no railway station nearby
All you need to walk along the campus no cycles allowed

Placement Experience:

College placement were quite good and many companies like Honda , Reliance,Mars Larsen and Turbo Aditya Birla , Deloitte,Tata Power and many more companies joined for placement and the placement season was quite good

The truth of nit

Likes

College location struture and wheather of the campus
Hostel life is one of my favourite thing in cllg
Many extra cricullum activities clubs etc

Dislikes

Behaviours of senior not many but some of them are hell
Faculity is also not too cooperations rather than of some teachers
And some time good is also not good in pur cllg

Placement Experience:

Placements start from last year final year but from 5 and 6 sem you hai chance of internship in good companies which after you degree completion can hire you for work in there company's it also have a good amount of packages

Beautiful campus of Himachal Pradesh

NIT Hamirpur is one of the most beautiful campus, infrastructure structure is good.
Faculties are expert in their field and are quite supportive.
The placements are good. Around 80% of students are placed.The girls to boys ratio is one-four.

Dislikes

There is shortage of water in hostels,so this is a big problem.
Rules for girls is very strict and are pointless.

Placement Experience:

The placement of this college is good.About 80%of students are placed. From 7th semester students are eligible for campus placement. Companies like Amazon, Paytm, samsung, Bloomberg,IBM, Accenture,Oracle visit campus to offer jobs.

NIT Hamirpur- The campus that feels like heaven.

Likes

The lush green and beautiful campus spreaded over an area of 320 acres.
You'll get a lot of opportunities here, for research, internships etc.
You can also explore a lot of extra curricular activities here in the campus.

Dislikes

Certain hostel rules specially for girls are baseless here. Hostel management is not upto the mark.
Hostel staff is not at all helpful and are quite rude.

Placement Experience:

Students from 7th sem are eligible for placements. The highest package offered last year was 1.7 CPA. Around 80% of the students get placed here.Companies like Amazon, Samsung,Paytm,TCS, IBM, Infosys,Oracle, Accenture, Bloomberg etc often visit here.

1) Infrastructure is very good. Students are very helpful.

Dislikes

1)Professor are not that much cooperative. There is no personal interaction between teacher and students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is well fitted with the branch. But I found course duration a little bit short.within 3 or 4 months a semester is completed.and time flies very fast. For improvement,i think institute should focus more on practical studies.and provide atleast 2 or 3 intership for every students

NIT Hamirpur the heaven

2nd most beautiful campus in india . Campus full of greenery
Ragging free environment and there is special committee of teachers to prevent ragging
Hostel Life and cultural life and events are best

Dislikes

Less available of resources around the campus .
Boys to girls ratio is 100:17. Mainly in core branches
Hostel in timming are very less, around 9:30 pm

Placement Experience:

If you are a student having CGPA more than 7 then it is 90% assured that you will get campus placement and for those who are having CGPA less than 7 are also have 60% chances of getting placed if you don't get admission by college then you have many government exam options when you are in electrical branch

Campus in lush green and air is clean in Hamirpur
We get freedom to visit Hamirpur market every weekend.

Dislikes

Strict restrictions on outing of hostel, you can't leave hostel on weekends except if you're going out of the campus itself.
Hamirpur doesn't offer recreations such as a city like Delhi would've provided

Placement Experience:

NIT Hamirpur offer in campus placement with placement going on all through the final year.campus is visited by Texas Instruments, Google and other good companies. Highest package was around 1.8 crpa, I plan on joining a core ECE company after placement.

Overview of NIT HAMIRPUR

Likes

The environment of college and the nature is really awesome.
The faculties are very well qualified they have published various reasearch papers and are also very helpful.
Seniors are really nice and helpful but there is a culture of calling them sir and ma'am few might have a problem with it

Dislikes

The attendance rule minimum 75 percentage attendance is necessary
Rules for first year is very strict and there are several places in campus first year student are not allowed to visit
Girls to boys ratio is around 2:9 except architecture there is around 5:2

Placement Experience:

The placements are really good especially for computer science and electronics. This year only one of our senior got a 1.2 crore package he was of computer science branch. Rest of the branches also have a decent package 11 lpa being the average of all branches combined and also chemical branch has a 100 percent placement rate.
