Likes
- The lush green and beautiful campus spreaded over an area of 320 acres.
- You'll get a lot of opportunities here, for research, internships etc.
- You can also explore a lot of extra curricular activities here in the campus.
Dislikes
- Certain hostel rules specially for girls are baseless here. Hostel management is not upto the mark.
- Hostel staff is not at all helpful and are quite rude.
Course Curriculum Overview
I think our course curriculum still needs some improvement. Still, there is exposure to real time projects which prepares us for real world applications. For exams I would say some exams are difficult while some are not.
Internships Opportunities
There are a lot of internship opportunities available here for students. You can get exposure to real world projects through these internships.For projects, apart from internships, you can also participate in Hackathons, Electrothons etc.
Placement Experience
Students from 7th sem are eligible for placements. The highest package offered last year was 1.7 CPA. Around 80% of the students get placed here.Companies like Amazon, Samsung,Paytm,TCS, IBM, Infosys,Oracle, Accenture, Bloomberg etc often visit here.
Fees and Financial Aid
The semester fees(Tuition fees) are based on the annual family income. For students whose family income is between 1 to 5 lakh per annum, the fees is 41,933 per semester. The admission fee is 1000, the identity card fees is 500, Convocation fee is 3000, Department society membership fees is 1000, Students safety insurance fee is 2500, Institutes caution money is 5000 and there are some basic fees like Examination fee, Medical fee, Library registration fee, Student Welfare free, etc which all adds to 34,100.
Campus Life
There are two fests in an year. Hill'fair- Cultural fest in October and Nimbus- Technical fest in November.You'll will get access to books through library and Digital library too.Facilities like Free WiFi for students is also available.There are a lot of Clubs for extra curricular to explore for. Sport facilities are also available here.
Admission
I got this college through JOSAA counselling.It is based on our JEE Main rank.So, I got this college based on my rank in JEE Main.The exam accepted here depends on the course you want to apply for like JEE Main(B Tech. and B Arch.), GATE etc
Faculty
The faculty here is quite experienced and are experts in their field. They are quite approachable(but not all). They will help you if you'll reach them for support. As NEP 2020 is introduced, our curriculum has improved. We have one mid-semester exam and end semester exam per semester. The weightage of mid-sem is 30%, end-sem is 50% and rest is internals(20%).
