- Boys to girls ratio is 100:17. Mainly in core branches
- Hostel in timming are very less, around 9:30 pm
Course Curriculum Overview
The thing that invest me to choose this course curriculum is that the quality experience of the faculty. Electrical branch is the oldest branch of NIT Hamirpur as well as the teacher here are very aged and experienced in electrical department
Internships Opportunities
When you are a 3rd year student you have so many opportunity for internship even you have opportunity for internship in final year. Have to do at least fun internship in your core branch so that you can appear for the subject that is called industrial training project
Placement Experience
If you are a student having CGPA more than 7 then it is 90% assured that you will get campus placement and for those who are having CGPA less than 7 are also have 60% chances of getting placed if you don't get admission by college then you have many government exam options when you are in electrical branch
Fees and Financial Aid
For candidates having family income more than 5lpa fees is around - ?75000 per semester For candidates having family income less than 5 lpa - ?35000 For Sc/st candidates and those having family income less than 1lpa - ?14000
Campus Life
I could say that social life in NIT HAMIRPUR is best. Seniors are here very friendly there are clubs of every department and society's of every department there are two fest in one year for the odd semester the fest is cultural fest that is hillfair and for the even semester there is a technical fest called nimbus
Hostel Facilities
There are different hostel for every year students the mess food is very good it is very affordable and cheap. You have water availability at least 18 hours a day. We have student committee for mess committee and hostel committee
Admission
I never applied for any another college then NIT Hamirpur as it is dream college of every student studying in Himachal Pradesh . I got home state quota for admission. We get here admission by clearing jee mains and Jossa counselling
Faculty
Faculty here is very experience and teachers are very friendly with students the course curriculum is very accurate according to the NIT system and some subjects may have old curriculum as for the marking scheme you get 10 CGPA if you score more than 80 and you get 9 CGPA if you score more than 70. Marking scheme consists of 50 marks of end semester 30 marks of mid semester and 20 marks of internal assessment
