Teaching here is top notch , the faculty is highly experienced and there are teaching assisstents too which help us in understanding the concepts really well
Placements of iit mandi are great and more than 400 companies including top companies like amazon, google, microsoft etc.
Good thing is that college provides scholarship for economically backward students .

Dislikes

There is a lack of proper course layout, examination systems and management
Branch change- from 2024 onwards there will be no branch change . i think its bad decision as it was giving opportunities to the students to change their branches if they dont like the course structure .
Faculty: some faculty are very rude to students and grading is relatively tough.

Placement Experience:

The placement procedure is a three-step process starting with the registration. Many companies visited the campus last year for placements. Some of them included: Google, Microsoft, Samsung Bangalore, Adobe, Walmart, Paytm, Amazon, Indeed, Cashfree, Flipkart, Mindtickle, and Texas Instruments. 81% of the students got placed in my batch. More than 100 offers were made to the students.

IIT Mandi Review

Placement Experience:

The college provides good internships and the college has a record of 100% placement. The placement packages for B.Tech students are also good. The college placement committee plays a very crucial role in the college placement process. We have to register our names with the placement committee to take part in the placement drive of the college. The highest package for our batch was around 35 LPA and the average package was around 12 LPA. Approx 65+ companies participated in the college placement drive.

IIT Mandi Review

Placement Experience:

The college has a good placement record on average college provides 100% placement. The college is also quite popular for its placement. The placement committee plays an important role in the placement process of the college, as the placement committee invites good companies for the placement process and properly guides us during the placement rounds. Around 75+ companies visited our campus for the college placement rounds. The highest package for our batch was around 23 LPA and the average package was around 12.75 LPA.

College is in Himachal

Remarks:

It was the best choice given my jee ranks because I wanted to join CSE course and did not wanted to study in first year for branch upgrading. Also location of my college is known for its beauty and nature. IIT Mandi may be a new IIT But it has grown quite much and is continuously growing. Hostel and mess facilities are also quite nice and provide good environment for the students to feel at home.

Overall Scenario of IIT mandi

Remarks:

Everything wad good at college. I choose IIT Mandi because it was the best I could get at my rank and I don't regret my decision. For B.tech programme in iits, students need to give jee advance. Date of commencement of the new batch was August 1 and whole admission process was then managed by JOSAA(I don't know if now also).

My review of IIT Mandi

Remarks:

Campus beauty , IIT tag Admission process: After jee advance result you have to fill choice and based on those choice you will get seat based on cutoff. You have provide basic documents for the process.Bad aspect: Main playground is in North campus which is 15-20 minutes away from hostels.

Remarks:

Location, beauty, the calm and soothing environment and also the from the academic point of view it is a part of India's best engineering colleges with good nirf ranking and also the score of my jee exam was a factor I had to opt for this.

Remarks:

Being good in studies I was motivated by my parents and teachers to prepare for IIT. Hence I started my preperation with distance learning program. I had heard of this college because it was recenty opened in my state.It was due to my marks I was getting new IIT'S as it was closer to my home I choose this college. The reviews were also good for this College which helped me in taking this decision.

What is your review of Faculty Of IIT Mandi?

I have gone through the faculty profile given on the official website of IIT Mandi. It looks similar to that of all newly established IITs, except for IIT Gn and IIT H, which are better than the others.

One of my friends is also a student of the Mechanical branch at IIT Mandi. Most of the faculty members in the Mechanical branch are married couples. One of them got a job here and after that, they recommended their spouses.

In terms of research, the branch is not that good. Most of the faculties just mug up a research paper and publish a new one. One of the faculties became associate by doing the same. If you want to pursue higher studies in Mechanical, then don’t choose IIT Mandi.
