IIT Mandi Review

In a short span of time, IIT Mandi has made a name for itself and is among the top 50 engineering colleges in India. My preference was IIT Mandi because of its placement and education quality for B.Tech plus the college is situated in my hometown and I am properly aware of its popularity in our area. After clearing the JEE I applied for JOSAA counselling and I was allowed a seat in IIT Mandi.

The curriculum of the college is good. It follows the case study, simulation activity and quizzes to teach us the concepts. The college provides us with good opportunities for research work. The college helps us to understand all the basic concepts of computer technology and software and coding. The faculty teaches us very simple methods to remember coding techniques.

We are eligible for the internship after completing the 3 years of our program. We can collect the list of the companies from the placement committee and choose the company according to our interests. The average stipend for the internship is around 60k. The internship program helps us to attain professional experiences.

The college provides good internships and the college has a record of 100% placement. The placement packages for B.Tech students are also good. The college placement committee plays a very crucial role in the college placement process. We have to register our names with the placement committee to take part in the placement drive of the college. The highest package for our batch was around 35 LPA and the average package was around 12 LPA. Approx 65+ companies participated in the college placement drive.

The college provides scholarships on a merit basis. The college provides scholarships for SC/ST/PWD. The college provides scholarships through more than 5+ schemes. The campus is located around beautiful mountains and the view around is very scenic. The campus life of the college is very good and very friendly. The seniors and the administrative staff is very cooperative and friendly. Competition like debate, quiz, dance and music is organised by the college. The college library is big and many books academics and non-academic books are available. The college infrastructure is well maintained and classrooms are big and properly ventilated.

The hostel rooms are big and the ventilation is good. The hotel infrastructure is properly maintained. The rooms are cleaned 5 days a week. The hostel mess food quality is good and food is cooked in a very hygenic space. The hostel provides us with 24 hours of power supply and water supply. During winter hot water is supplied. The hostel is equipped with all kinds of basic and modern facilities for us.

The faculty of the college is good and highly experienced. The faculty of the college is of PhD level. The faculty properly guides us and helps us during extra-curricular activities. The teaching methods of the faculty are very good and simple.
