Remarks

Location, beauty, the calm and soothing environment and also the from the academic point of view it is a part of India's best engineering colleges with good nirf ranking and also the score of my jee exam was a factor I had to opt for this.

Course Curriculum Overview

This being an online semester we can't get the complete academic knowledge we would have gained while being in the campus, the faculty members are supportive and there may be some who may be quite strict with the marking and paper settings but overall it's a nice experience being here.

Placement Experience

The placements and job opportunities are all based on how you perform for the in campus placement and there is also a chance to prepare for civil services or to initiate a start up plan in case someone is not interested in corporate jobs. Also one can opt for higher studies as well.

Fee Structure And Facilities

There is no fees for girl student plus an additional stipend of 1000rs is provided every month. While for boys it's around 15 or 20 lakh for the complete b.tech course. The reserved categories also get some additional scholarship which is easily provided on the IIT Mandi website.

Campus Life

This being an online semester we can't say about the campus life but as we have heard from our seniors it is way to fun and learning experience. Talking about the clubs and infrastructure then this is something we can be really proud of. IIT MANDI has a very beautiful building in the laps of hills and each club is active with its work and we get to learn many new things as well.

Hostel Facilities

Can't tell about this until we get to the campus. We have just seen the pictures of hostel rooms and have got to know a bit from the seniors as well and from that we have made a perspective of decent rooms well accommodated.

Chandigarh-based companies or the startups, and training institutes come here. Companies like Meander Software, Bebo Technologies, Novem Control, BookingKoala - Sales Hungary, etc. companies come. Average package is 3.8 LPA, and 50% students are getting placed. My plans after getting the degree is working in an IT company.

yes they povide placements. After 6th sem, means in 7th sem you are eligible for placement and apply for companies based on their requirements. Google, Microsoft, Adobe, Amazon and many more visits every year. Highest is the PPO of 93 lakhs and placement of 60 lakhs. around 93% are placed who registers for placements Average CTC is around in between 18 to 22 lakhs

Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.

IIT Mandi- my home and karmbhoomi

Honestly I initially thought of branch change and college in some what cold place which led me to this college. Our college is moderate in comparison to other iits, obviously you cant compare it with old iits , but yeah its decent enough, having good students and friends. Placement of four college is better than other iits. Some years result in placement ogf good no. of students whereas some leads to okish. The sport facilities are ok. Swimming pool is not of olympic size and it requires lot of time for repair of the sport equipments. Admission process is through Jossa counselling after JEE Advanced. I applied for VIT, NIT BHOPAL, IIT Jodhpur, IIT Jammu, IIT BHU, IIT Ropar, NIT Durgapur, and many of the IITS and NITS. I choose only this so, didn't fill for confirmation for others. IIT MANDI KE ANSUNE KISSE

The admission process at IITs are generally common through a cmon entrance exam all over India named jee mains for nits and then after qualifying in that we need to score good in jee advanced. There are reservations for sc, st, obc and economically backward classes. Like you can get good branches with lower marks. For example in computer science you can get 6000 rank for obc but around 2000 for general candidates....Read More
