11 Dec, 2025 HPCET 2026 Exam Schedule is out. The exam will be held on May 10, 2026, for UG/PG Admission 2026-27. Interested candidates can fill the form @himtu.ac.in.

04 Dec, 2025 JEE Main 2026 Session 1 will be held from Jan 21 to 30, 2026, for B.E/ B.Tech/ B.Arch/ B.Plan admission. Further, the Results will be announced on Feb 12, 2026. For more details, check here.

LR Institute of Engineering and Technology was established in 2008 and located in city solan state of Himachal Pradesh. The institute is affiliated to Himachal Pradesh Technical University (HIMTU) and recognized by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The institute is the result of self-help movement under the Chairmanship of great visionary Sh. Kailash Chand Goel & Managing Trustee Mr. Pramod Garg.

The mission of institute is to create an excellent teaching and learning environment for our staff and students to explore their full potential thus enabling them to contribute positively to the society and enhance the self-confidence level for developing creative skills of staff and students. I directly apply for this college and I didn't apply for any other colleges. I choose this college because it is affiliated with Himachal Pradesh Technical university so we get the government degree. You can directly apply for the college or you can give an exam name HIMTU entrance exam.

It has great campus

Likes

like the environment of the college and very great interaction with teacher
Teacher are helpful and supportive labs have many equipment and tools which is required for experiment

Dislikes

Classroom pice are very slow update are required and projector are bit dim
Air conditioner is not present in class and not many windows are present

Admission:

We have to take the 12 standard exam or diploma where we have to play the cap round on which there are the round from them round college selects the student according to their cutoff and gives them seat allotment for my college, the minimum cutoff is 70 for my branch.

B.tech is one of the most professional courses . I am proud of my decision that I have chosen the branch Mechanical. This is one of the most popular branches. The course curriculum is very good.
