IIT Mandi Review

IIT Mandi is ranked 41 by NIRF among the top 50 premier engineering colleges of India and B.Tech is the flagship course of the college. I have already cleared my JEE exam and according to my JEE score and my academic marks, I was able to meet the cutoff eligibility criteria of the college as I have secured 78% in my 10+2 as the minimum academic marks requirement was 75%. To take admission to IIT Mandi I have to fill out the admission form from the college's official website.

The curriculum helps us to understand the basic and advanced concepts and fundamentals of coding and programming. The curriculum is as per the latest guidelines of industries. The curriculum gives us a proper insight into coding and the importance of coding in technology and the curriculum helps us to understand the importance of coding programs in AI and changing technology.

We are eligible for the internship after completing the 3 years of our program. I completed my internship program at Wipro. If we are good at coding we receive a good stipend as per our skills. The average stipend for the internship is around Rs. 55k. Around 25 companies visited our campus for the internship program.

The college has a good placement record on average college provides 100% placement. The college is also quite popular for its placement. The placement committee plays an important role in the placement process of the college, as the placement committee invites good companies for the placement process and properly guides us during the placement rounds. Around 75+ companies visited our campus for the college placement rounds. The highest package for our batch was around 23 LPA and the average package was around 12.75 LPA.

The average fee to complete the B.Tech program is 8.60 lakhs but the return on investment is good as the average placement package of the college is around 12.75 LPA. The college provides scholarships on a merit basis and SC/ST are exempted from the tuition fees. Scholarship for SC/ST/PWD is also available. The campus life of the college is good. The campus is equipped with all types of basic and modern facilities like a Gym, bank on the campus, ATM, and WiFi connectivity on campus. The research labs and computer labs of the college are modern. The college classrooms are big and spacious and well maintained. The college organizes some competitions like debates, quizzes, dance, music, etc. The college infrastructure is well maintained. The library is the house of more than 18000 books from international authors.

The hostel rooms are available on the triple, double and single accommodation. The rooms are big and properly maintained and ventilated, Each room has a bed, study table and almirahs for every one of us. The hostel mess food is good and the menu is hygenic and nutritional. The hostel strictly follows the no ragging policy and the seniors in the hostels are friendly. The hostel wardens are cooperative and the hostel decorum is properly maintained. The hostel has all kinds of facilities for us.

The faculty of the college is very friendly and experienced. Around 95% of the faculty is of Ph.D. level with good research work experience from the top universities of India and abroad. The faculty teachings methods are very good and so simple that we all are properly engaged in the class.
