College has a good infrastructure but not so good faculty. I guess our college need to hire more faculty.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is really good but exam structure isn't good enough. Yes, it is relavent but it is not research driven. Our course do have a lot of computer languages in different semester which makes it good for professionals. As you computer languages are must for programming.
Placement Experience
Our college do not have a lot of placements and there is no internship. You have to find internship yourself but there are some companies. who comes for college placements such as Wipro.
College Events
There are three main events celebrated in our college. First one is cultural and tech fest. In this event cultural and technical competitions are conducted. Second one is sports meet and in sports meet indoor and outdoor sports are played. Last one is annual dinner on this day all academic away are given.
Fee Structure And Facilities
I personally found it expensive. Considering it is a government college a fee structure of almost 1, 10, 000 annually is too much. Yes, college provides transparency is fee- breakdown it is clearly mentioned in brousher. And we do not have to pay any additional charges too.
Fees and Financial Aid
No, I did not opted for any scholarship or educational loan. But our college provide scholarship to ECONOMIC WEAKER SECTION students and Meritorious girls.
Campus Life
Campus life is average. We have a sports meet once per year. Computer Labs are really good but other are not good enough. There is no competitions such as debates or robotics. Most of the student are from Himachal Pradesh and gender ratio is 80:20. 80 boys and 20 girls.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes, our seniors are really helpful. They helped me to find an internship at DIT, Shimla. It's really good to talk to them.
Admission
I got admission through entrance exam of UIT. It's application forms are submitted in the month of April and exam is conducted by HPU in the month of may. In some days results are out and counselling process takes place in June. For new session classes are started from July 1.
Faculty
Most of faculty of our college is guest faculty. All of them are qualified but they are not experts. Some of the faculty is permanent and they are experts of there subject. Every teacher have almost 35- 36 lecture in a semester. and also some of the faculty hold certifications.
