Remarks

The management is very helpful and active it's a small community and would be the same in other IITS because the management includes faculties who have been in our place and best knows what's best for us.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum of any IIT is well furnished and designed by the top notch faculties and you don't have to worry about the curriculum it includes technical visits and side by side you are taught premium technical knowledge about the industry you need to bag a place in the top of the line industry the curriculum is available on the website of college (IIT) so you can look out for that even before opting the college a student graduating from any IIT has the technical knowledge about almost everything and anything that he might find in his course of life.

Placement Experience

2.5

I personally managed to land an internship in my prefinal year at an education start-up named doubt not it was not what you get rather what you need to land an internship firstly you need to maintain an above-average CGPA to get a decent internship if it is industry focused or core-based but if not your CGPA will not matter unless they use it to filter amongst the applicants for the same internship whatever's taught in college is more than sufficient to get a decent internship so just believe in yourself and don't panic well that's an advice every senior gave me but human nature is affected by pears and society so even though you will land an internship you will take more stress for it than required.

College Events

4.5

Once you graduate you will miss every day of college you spent because of everything you do at IIT is memorable and these college festivals would be the highlight of those 4 memorable years they act as bonding exercises and relaxes your mental stress from the hectic academic curriculum.

Fee Structure And Facilities

I would say even though these are government-run institutions and well funded by the government which funds them through the taxes we already pay the college fees are very expensive and not affordable for everyone who gets admission in IITs but at the time there are so many relaxations if you're family income is less than certain criteria and to top that the scholarships which are very helpful and a student loan can prove very helpful for you.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

I personally didn't opt for any college scholarships but I have already my tuition fees is already waived off I belong to the scheduled tribe (ST) but for those who want to avail scholarships there are tons of mail by the authorities daily on college Webmail for various scholarships and how to avail them.

Campus Life

3.5

Gender ratio has certainly improved over the time period but is still below fifty percent. The sport's facilities are almost top of the line you could have in any premium private owned institution the labs are well maintained and have expensive machines all thanks to the MHRD funds.

Hostel Facilities

3

Yes around my college there's no private owned hostels or rooms for renting it's a hilly region so with beautiful scenery comes challenges not everyone faces but it's worth it because hostel accommodation is quite fancy and inexpensive at the same time they worth every penny.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network is growing in newly set-up IITS and still lacks so much from those older IITS but the alumni interactive sessions are intriguing they tell us how to manage the rest of the college time and get the best of it to me I'm always motivated thanks to the senior who set-up quite some examples for the juniors.

Admission

I opted for the course because it was the best I could salvage out for my rank in jee advanced. The admission procedure in an IIT is common the NTA(NATIONAL TESTING AGENCY) conducts jee mains exam through which you could get admission into any NIT( NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY), IIIT, NIFT, STATE GOVERNMENT RUN COLLEGE and those who clear the cut-off marks are eligible to sit in JEE ADVANCED through which if you pass you get admission in desired IIT for your mark. A merit list is formed and JOSAA( THE Joint Seat Allocation Authority) takes care of the merit list and admission process from here on you select the various desired branch in different colleges and when the list is announced if you want to lock your seat which you're getting in that particular round you have to report to the closest IIT and lock it.

Faculty

3.5

Faculties in any IIT is well qualified and have deep knowledge about the course they teach in college. They have experience working in the industry as well as MNCs but the teaching method will vary from professor to professor some are old school type and just read PDF in class while some professors might actually impress you with the technical and practical knowledge about the courses and it's the application they might intrigue the spark an engineer desires to bring out the best in himself/herself and that's the best part about the professor they are not all the same and each of them will impact explicitly to your journey of IIT.

The placements are really good especially for computer science and electronics. This year only one of our senior got a 1.2 crore package he was of computer science branch. Rest of the branches also have a decent package 11 lpa being the average of all branches combined and also chemical branch has a 100 percent placement rate.

Management is very centralised, and least bothered for the overall development. Though major steps have been taken for students involvement, still there is a long way to go, when management starts focusing on the overall development process.
