IIT Mandi Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

One of the most important factor was the Branch Change Policy of this college. I took admission in this college with EE as my branch but was able to change it to CSE due to the liberal branch change policy. Also, one of the most intriguing thing about the college was its closeness to untouched nature.

Branch I needed, good weather, good placements for CSE, friendly seniors, beautiful campus.But in my time in the college I found out it's a little underdeveloped in comparison, the administration doesn't listen to the kids and the funding for cultural activities is low. But I think I still would've chose this college , because 0 tuition fees for female students (at my time, I don't know about now) and the place and the placements were good enough for my branch.

Good number of research publications from the Biotech department, Young enthusiastic faculty who are equally motivated towards research, Pleasant weather in Himachal, Beautiful campus, No personal interview/document verification round, Less fees, fast spiking institute ranking.

I wanted to continue my master's in the same field as of my graduation. I had mannually gone through the college websites to choose my preference and enrolled myself in which ever I got first. The admission is offered solely by GATE score with offers through COAP portal. This college have good working fields in study program and is helpful for those willing for higher studies. But no good placement is offered here and funds are comparatively less.

Campus environment, Remote area, Student activities, career services, on-campus facilities & amenities, accommodation facilities, academic major available etc. that's all factors come in pictures when choosing a college.

This is the top institute of india where i can grow my theoretical knowledge as well as practical knowledge. In this college for M.Tech we can take admission by registration in COAP (Common Offer Acceptance Portal), where you can registered after clearing the GATE examination. If there vacant any seat in college then they provide the spot round. In the spot round they give priority to student who have the higher GATE score.

Structural engineering is the most preferable branch for any civil engineering graduates to pursu career in design field. By taking this branch we have two career options either we can move in private sector or professor (Ph.D) line.

The institute is famous for it's research work, most important part is the quality of education delivered by the faculty members with the provision of high quality labs and dedicated support for HPC(High performance Computing) which is provided to the students. The environment is suitable for studies since it is situated in the beautiful valley surrounded by mountains in Kamand village in Mandi town. The campus is divided into north and south campus with UG students(mostly with few PG and Phd) residing in North and the PG and PHD students residing in South. Every important facility is provided for academics as well as stay purpose. The hostels are very nice with warm rooms and provided with Table tennis room, laundry and other useful stuff. placement wise also the college is good.The only con is that you can't directly reach here via a train or flight, means we need to catch a cab/bus from the nearest railway station/airport which is most suitably Chandigarh.

I had two options one indian institute of technology Mandi and other one is M N N I T allahabad. Both are almost at same level but M N N I T allahabad has plus point that you can get more chances of placements compared to I I T Mandi. But still i choosed I I T Mandi over M N N I T allahabad just because two factors in which one for it's campus beauty mountains vadiyan and all, and second one is for I I T tag.
