Teaching here is top notch , the faculty is highly experienced and there are teaching assisstents too which help us in understanding the concepts really well
Placements of iit mandi are great and more than 400 companies including top companies like amazon, google, microsoft etc.
Good thing is that college provides scholarship for economically backward students .

Dislikes

There is a lack of proper course layout, examination systems and management
Branch change- from 2024 onwards there will be no branch change . i think its bad decision as it was giving opportunities to the students to change their branches if they dont like the course structure .
Faculty: some faculty are very rude to students and grading is relatively tough.

IIT Mandi

Placement Experience:

From the 7th semester, a person is eligible for placements. Many major companies like google, amazon, de Shaw, Sprinklr, Microsoft, etc. come for placements. The highest package - is 1.2 Cr international and the average is 20lpa. The percentage of students getting placement is an almost full batch for CSE. I will try for a decent placement.

Review of IIT Mandi

Placement Experience:

After the sixth-semester students are eligible for campus placements and also there is a good percentage of students are placed in Campus placements itself. There are many companies visiting the campus because it has a different department for campus placement that attract the companies. The highest package is 47 LPA and the average package is 12 LPA which is a good package. Nearly 80 percent of students get campus placements. I want to take placement after doing the degree and also open my own startup of robotics.

Way to dreams

Placement Experience:

For the 7th, and 8th semesters they are eligible for campus placement Approx all big multinational companies like Microsoft, Google, sprinkler, Amazon, Flipkart, Oracle, jaguar, etc visit our campus. Approx 1000 job offers are being offered every year. Around 90% of students get placed every year. I will try to get a placement in a good IT company.

I got this course based on my jee advanced rank. Faculty to student ratio is high means good interaction is possible with faculty members. Qualifications of faculty are top-notch. Exams have quality questions.

Placement Experience:

The college completely stands on the legacy of the IITs as the college offer good placement opportunity and very good placement packages offers. The college placement committee works as the support system and motivates us during the time of the college placement drive. The college has a record of 100% placement with the highest salary offer was 25 LPA and the average salary offer of around 15 LPA. Google, Microsoft, Samsung Bangalore, Adobe, Walmart, Paytm, Amazon, etc are the names of some companies that took in the college placement drive.

I have gone through the faculty profile given on the official website of IIT Mandi. It looks similar to that of all newly established IITs, except for IIT Gn and IIT H, which are better than the others.

One of my friends is also a student of the Mechanical branch at IIT Mandi. Most of the faculty members in the Mechanical branch are married couples. One of them got a job here and after that, they recommended their spouses.

In terms of research, the branch is not that good. Most of the faculties just mug up a research paper and publish a new one. One of the faculties became associate by doing the same. If you want to pursue higher studies in Mechanical, then don’t choose IIT Mandi.
