IGNOU PhD Nursing Admission 2023 for the January session will begin soon. The university will tentatively release the application form for admission in the month of December 2022. Aspiring candidates can apply online on the university’s official website - ignou.ac.in.

IGNOU offers a Ph.D. program in Nursing for a minimum duration of 3 years. Admission to the course is done on the basis of an entrance exam conducted by the varsity followed by an interview. IGNOU Ph.D. Nursing Eligibility Criteria

The candidates must have a Post-Graduation degree with a minimum of 55% marks in the relevant discipline from a recognized board/University or equivalent.
The candidates belonging to the reserved category and those who are differently disabled get a 5% relaxation, i.e. minimum eligibility is 50% in Master’s degree.

IGNOU Ph.D. Nursing Selection Criteria

The selection is done on the basis of the written test followed by an interview. Applications found suitable for admission will be called for the entrance test. Shortlisted candidates on the basis of their performance in the written test will be called for the interview round. Offer letters for admission will be sent to the Selected Candidates only.

Note: Candidates holding M.Phil. Degree (along with course work and dissertation both) or those candidates who have cleared NET (conducted by UGC/ CSIR/ ICAR) or any other equivalent examination will be exempted from appearing in the Entrance Test.

Entrance Test

The university also provides the candidates with an opportunity to research in their respective fields of study by offering M.Phil. and Ph.D. courses under different specializations. For the July academic session, the university is offering Ph.D. in 12 subjects and an M.Phil course in 2 subjects. Eligible candidates are required to appear for the entrance test conducted by the university for admission to M.Phil/Ph.D. course. IGNOU Ph.D. Nursing Application Process

To enroll for admission in IGNOU, the applicant must submit the application form available on the official website of the university. They can apply online as well as offline mode. However, it must be noted that the application forms are available on certain dates before the session commences. Follow the below-mentioned steps on how to fill IGNOU application form:

Step 1: Visit the official website of the university in order to obtain the application form.
