IGNOU BPP also known as Bachelor’s Preparatory Programme (BPP) is a 6-month (minimum) to 2-year (maximum) non-formal bridge course launched by IGNOU for students who do not have 10+2 but want to pursue BA, BCom, BTS, BSW or even go up to Master’s degree later.

After completing BPP, you become equivalent to a 12th pass student and can take direct admission in almost all IGNOU UG programmes.

  • Education: No formal educational qualification required
  • Age: 18 years or above as on 1st January 2026
  • Age: No upper age limit

Fill Basic Details Username will be created using your mobile number or email ID
Select Programme Choose “Bachelor’s Preparatory Programme (BPP)”
Upload Documents Only 2 documents required:
• Passport-size photo
• Signature
No 10th marksheet required (just mention year of passing or write “No formal qualification”)
Pay Fees ₹200 Registration Fee + ₹1,000 Programme Fee (online payment)
Submit Form After submission, provisional admission is granted immediately
Study Material IGNOU sends 2 BPP books by post after ~2 months
BPP Term-End Exam Appear in June or Dec 2026 TEEMinimum passing marks: 35%
