All about IGNOU

Likes

IGNOU let you study while working and preparing for other exams or handling family responsibilities
fees are low and transparent, no hidden charges, no donation nonsense.
the degree from IGNOU is accepted by UPSC, SSC and most universities for higher studies.

Dislikes

there is no real life college, no regular events
some teacher are knowledgeable but mentorship is minimal
there is no structured placement drive, no serious industry tie-ups

Internships Opportunities:

There is no sturcutured or guaranteed internship program provided by IGNOU for most UG and PG courses. It does not officially place students into internships with named companies. Academic projects only as a part of curriculum like final year project, case studies.

Dislikes

Some classroom are not as much compare to other room.Clean some bathroom also not clean
Replacement, in my course, he is very simple.Compare to other courses like B.Com and BSE courses.They have high chance of placement compared to BA and B.Com.Pro
The routine time is not manageable.In my university sometime.They mess the routine of classes and disturb our mental

UNIVERSITY IS GOOD BUT NEED MUCH IMPROVEMENT

The aspects of the college that I appreciated and I felt needed improvement is that they don't have any classes.and don't have any scholarship
My engagement with campus life and the quality of a social interaction is not good
The effectiveness of the placement services is not likely too goodd

Internships Opportunities:

There are so many popular opportunities in my university but I don't know about any type of opportunities that is given by the University. I don't know about any project but I have to do some practical of the course

quick resolution of issues that i have raised during my course.
clean and green campus, free shuttle service for intra university commutes.

Dislikes

disptach and availability of study materials is slow
student grievance portal needs to be more responsive and active

Internships Opportunities:

the college has tieups with some private companies and provide opportunties and assists students on their university portal for registering for the internship campagings organised by them. no information regarding projects, apologies!

Likes

This college has graded by NAAC A++ and it is a Central University
This college degree valid all over India and it allows distance learning to its student
This college is best for both students which are preparing some exams and doing their jobs

Dislikes

This college has the lack of college life
This college has least studies less classes than other colleges
And you cannot make your friends in college

Internships Opportunities:

I am studying in my first year and I got a message from IGNOU to get a internship and it has no fees bui didn't choose that because of my work I did not make any project in this college but the assignment is submitted on annualy

Ignou: Flexibility And Disappointment

Open Learning ,learn from anywhere no restriction
Less classes ,easy to do part time jobs as a college student
Helpful for those preparing for government exams or preparing for gor professional course like ca ,cs ,lawyer etc

Dislikes

I choose offline classes but trust me no offline class happen only some online classes happen through google meet
Copy checking is very bad ,no specific subject teacher present to check exam copy result in poor marks of students without any reason
No learning if you depend on them ,study material reach you when half year get completed

Internships Opportunities:

IGNOU, being an open university, does not have a very strong on-campus internship culture like regular colleges. Most of the time, students have to find internships on their own through online platforms, personal contacts, or external training programs. There is no dedicated placement cell in every regional center, though IGNOU has a Campus Placement Cell at the headquarters in Maidan Garhi, New Delhi, which sometimes shares internship or job opportunities. For certain professional courses like MBA, B.Ed, Tourism, or Social Work, internships or fieldwork are mandatory parts of the curriculum, and the university guides students to connect with NGOs, schools, or companies for practical training. In courses like B.Sc. or B.Com, internships are not compulsory, but students can still apply for external opportunities to gain experience. Some companies offering virtual internships, data entry projects, or NGO-based roles do accept IGNOU students. Stipends are usually low or sometimes unpaid, but the experience helps in building skills and resumes. Personally, I am in my 2nd year and have not done any internship yet, so I don’t have direct experience. The information I am sharing is from internet sources and student feedback. For IGNOU students, internships depend more on individual effort rather than campus support.

Campus Life is good and social interaction is also ok
As the study is affordable and no age limit which is good to continue over something you want to pursue, opportunity of placement is best in there.
Flexible exam times and places which is nearer.

Dislikes

Like for p.hd or some high degrees need to be practical classes with regular test
As In a open university they should tight there security as students dp cheating or fake I'ds
Quality of infrastructure need to improved where I done this exam.

Internships Opportunities:

IGNOU give internship to their students within their campus and also relevant for outside companies. I don't know much about this because I didn't had any internship but IGNOU provide a great platform with job placement also with good salary .

I'm disappointed some time by placement And there is no fest in our college

Internship is provided in our college from the second sem itself . The top companies that come for Internship are Byju, tcs, hcl ,firstcry ,physicswallah. The stipend Differ from companies to comp The stipend i m receiving is 15000 from firstcry.

Faculties are so knowledgeable and have a great experience.
The campus is bigger than other campus and strictness is maintained in this college
It have all the separate class with different departments and many events are conducted in our college

Dislikes

Ac classroom are not provided and the classes are not newly furnished

Internships Opportunities:

As we get internship in our 2nd year for hotels in which we are required to work in all the four departments of our hotel for a work experience and get to know about all the departments from the point of job

College does not have a very big campus.

Placement Experience:

College have a strong placement record with students securing jobs in top hotel chains, hospitality management firms, etc. Leading hospitality brands such as Taj, Oberoi, Marriot, ITC, Hyatt, etc regularly recruit from the campus.
