IGNOU B.Ed Eligibility Criteria 2026

Candidates must fulfill the following to appear for the entrance exam for IGNOU B.Ed:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree with at least 50% marks (in aggregate) from a recognized university.
  • For Engineering/Technology graduates: 55% marks required.
  • Trained in-service teachers in elementary education OR
  • Candidates who have completed an NCTE-recognized teacher education program in face-to-face mode.
  • Relaxation: 5% marks for SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/PwD candidates.

  • Mode: Offline (pen-paper) or as notified; bilingual (English & Hindi).
