Student Snaps:

Placement Experience:

The placement is decent. From the final year (4th year) students are eligible for college placements. Companies like adobe, d shaw, Vedanta, Adani, etc visited our campus. In the year 2021-22 the total offer received was 738. In the mining branch, 62 offers were made to over 70 eligible students. Around 60% of students got placed in our college & in the mining branch, almost 75% of students got placed. I want to take college placements & work as an employee.

Placement Experience:

The students of the final year are only eligible for participating in the placement scenarios. We have a total of 11 branches in our college with a high placement percentage of 85% for circuital branches and roughly 70% for non circuital brnaches students. The average package varies with each branch also the entrepreneur and startup ratio is a little low due to limited resources but currenlty many initiatives are taken to boost the same. We have companies ranging from the IT sector with those who allow all students namely Accenture, TCS, Wipro, tech Mahindra, ZS, Capgemini, cognisant, Infosys, phone pay, Deloitte, EXL, Optum, quantiphi, futures first, tresvista, PharmaAce, IBM.

Placement Experience:

Since very few core companies visit for placement opportunities therefore people mostly opt for non-core. The highest is 12 lakh, the lowest is 1.25lakh and the average is about 2.5 lakh. Around 15% of students got internships in healthcare companies like calidad, and AIIMs Raipur. Rest are applying in their fields of interest. Some of the top roles offered are Biomedical scientist/researcher, Rehabilitation engineer, Medical technology developer etc. Talking about open for all and other branch companies, we have TCS, EXL, Quantiphi, Accenture, ZS, Futures First, LnT, Adani, Vedanta, Tata steel, Pharmacie, Netmeds, Microsoft, Walmart, Credence, Algouniversity, Hyperverge, LatentView, Infosys, tech Mahindra, Wipro, optimum, Deloitte etc. For my course, the facilities are a bit less satisfying. We don't have a proper lab for our department, the Wifi facility is good but you can't access it from your systems. The infrastructure is good but limited resources are available in the library.

From the start of the 7th semester, students are eligible for placements.

Placement Experience:

We get eligible for internship and PPO after the 4th semester. There is 100% placement for circuital branches that is cse, it, ECE, EE, and about 80% placement for core branches like mech. For non-core companies like Amazon, Microsoft, abode, and Samsung etc, for analysts, all big 4 companies visit our college, and for mechanical specific PSU like BPCL, will etc visit our campus and core companies like bosch, Maruti Suzuki, tata steels, Vedanta, hero moto corp, caterpillars, TVs etc visit our campus. This year's overall highest package is 2cr placed in Facebook London, while the overall average package was 9 lakh and it is 7.7 lakh in mechanical. My plan is to get a placement in a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placement of Nit Raipur is good. And it's improving year by year. Here the core people if they studied before and have the knowledge about the core can also get placed here. Many people opt for higher studies so they don't focus on the placement.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have chosen this course because I have to do engineering. For every 16 students, there is a faculty. Almost all faculties have done PHD or Post doctorate in their respective fields. There are two exams in a semester mid sem and end-sem papers were moderate to tough level those who study can pass easily.

NIT Raipur: 1 Answered Question

What is your review of National Institute of Technology, Raipur?

Aditya MishraB.Tech from National Institute of Technology, Raipur

As an alumnus of NIT Raipur, here are my views on this institution-

  • Faculty- The faculty lags behind in terms of NIT standards. It is slightly above average. This is because their teaching method is not very engaging. That being said, the teachers are helpful. They will advise you to engage in extracurriculars as well.
  • Student Interaction- The senior-junior interaction is good.

Despite IIT Raipur and AIIMS Raipur being in close proximity, interaction and

idea-sharing with them is negligible.

  • Industry Connect- It has a good industry connection for some core branches like mining, metallurgy, and civil.
  • Campus Life- The campus life isn’t good. But eventually, you’ll learn to cope with things and enjoy yourself. You’ll learn a lot during your degree from this campus.
  • Infrastructure- There is a lot of room for improvement in the infrastructure of this college.
  • Placement- Placement records are decent. Last year an average package of INR 10.1 LPA was recorded by the college. A total of 738 offers were made by 101 companies. Some of the companies that visit the campus for placements include- Infoedge, Siemens, Adobe, Barclays, Capgemini, FIAT, Reliance, TATA, SapientNitro, Oracle, Amazon, Samsung, JP Morgan Chase, Cognizant and Wipro.

Overall, I would say that NIT Raipur is a bit lacking in many respects. However, you’ll get a good chance to rise over here because of low competition.
