Likes
- There are many scholarships available for the students which can help the students in many ways it help the needy people who cannot afford fees or have better excellence .
- They professor and teachers were friendly and had great knowledge of in their subjects
- The application form, fees and admission dates was pretty available on the website and everything was also provided on the college brochure!
Dislikes
- The condition of the rooms is very bad and it is requires renovation .overall i pay 6000 a month for my hostel room .. mess is 950 which is included in 6000
- Political group are quite active. students are also not getting hostels easily therefore its quite difficult for student from from faraway to survive. attendance policy is also very strict.
- It only provides a fan , a bed , and a almirah which in most cases is faulty .

- Faculties are supportive and very cooperative throughout the course.
- Classrooms and labs are quite impressive and good in condition

- Mess food is very low quality and quite expensive
- Washooms and toilets are not clean properly
- Not everyone will be given hostel facility
Placement Experience:
Placements for mechanical branch is quite impressive. Many companies like - L&T, HPCL, JSW, IOGL, whice have core industrial work comes for placement after the 6th sem, students were eligible for placement. In 2024 overall 70% students of mechanical engineering were placed.

- I like the mordernized culture of UIET. See UIET Chandigarh is not a any separate college, It is an Engineering department of very prestigious Panjab University. So the PU culture is very modern. It will helps you a lot in your overall development.
- So we all know that Panjab University Chandigarh is One of the best universities in India and globally also. so it is very helpful for students. If you want to pursue masters in foreign countries like USA ,Canda,Australia,UK
- Then it is very easy to join if you are a student of a Panjab University. The placement of UIET is very much good as compared to other state government and many lower NITs. And Course Fee is also very Low So ROI is very good.
Dislikes
- In UIET not everyone can get a hostel. Only Few Students Can get it. You can get a hostel by a merit list.
- In UIET department ,There is only Two Academic Blocks. So it's not big as Like NITs,IITs. But the Panjab University is very well build.
Placement Experience:
The Placements of my college are too good as compared to many other state government or NITs.from beginning of 7th semester students become eligibele for placements. so many Companies are visited here like for CSE American Express, Amazon, Zscaler, Cognizant, Deloitte, accenture etc.For ECE BEL,DRDO, Philips etc.For mechanical, Land T, Volvo eicher, Dalkia, Grail etc.

- First thing i liked was the college surroundings .
- the campus infrastructure , cleanliness , environment.
- college fees , which is very less and very good return on investment .
Dislikes
- campus size is a little bit small , and that can be a reason.
- those dream packages of more than 20lpa are not there .
- there are not much things to be disliked here.
Placement Experience:
students are elegible to sit in the placemnts from 7th semester.
placements are pretty decent here.
almost 80 to 90 percent students get place every year .
th highest package is 18 lpa and 12 lpa
the average package 6.5 lpa.

- Its a government college, which is better than any other private institutions
- Widely renowned in India as well as overseas due to Punjab University
- Time for other competitive exams and an option to go overseas
Dislikes
- Very less strictness is there. Quality of teaching is very poor
- Limited extra curricular activities despite being such huge campus
- Campus land can be utilised better in terms of infrastructure
Placement Experience:
The placements of the college are not on the higher side. Its 5 lac ctc
However if we compare with the ROI on the fees paid, then you will recover your fees paid in just one year
Highest package can be anywhgere around 25lac depending upon the individual

- Huge and beautiful university campus with very much greenery
- Numerous fests in which university invites many celebrities like pranjal dahiya, mankirt aulakh, ndee kundu and several other singers
- Good faculty as they cooperate with students
Dislikes
- Less average package than expected for lower branches
- Food quality in hostels is little poor and many controversies also keep on going regarding mess cleanliness
- High work load of assignments and exams that keep on coming one after another

4th year students are eligible for placements
Many companies like infosys and mahindra come for recruitments and they offer good package to students
Highest package grabbed last year was of 2 students from ECE branch in which they got 48 lpa package
Almost 50 percent students from EEE branch get placed through college placements

- Fee structure is quite affordable according to a central government college
- Teachers work hard to make you study and understand
- The college is central location of Chandigarh which is easily accessible and easy to travel
Dislikes
- Just like any other government office,the working here is slow and inefficient
- Mostly students are local residents, so the facilities for outsiders or hostellers are poor
- Poor management and facilities for Students and hostellers. Even fests are not regular and teachers are rude
Placement Experience:
Students get eligible for placements from 7th semester and almost 35-38 companies visit here. And more than 150 offers are made.
Highest package offered is around 15 LPA and lowest around 3-3.5 LPA.
Almost 80% of eligible students get placed.

- It's a govt college inside the Panjab University campus itself. Thus, you get to enjoy the campus of entire Panjab University and facilities like 24 hour library of PU adds to it. A vibrant,lush green campus.
- A good NIRF ranking and tier 1 college with good placements for some branches and is improving for others too.
- The societies and clubs culture is nice. Many activities and fests take place time to time and it is all student governed. Thus, good oportunity to explore.
Dislikes
- The hygiene facilities need to be improved asap.
- Teachers are good with the knowledge but sometimes very very strict on things like marking the exams.
- There's no relative cgpa like in other colleges due to which it is tough to maintain a good cgpa in core branches majorly.
Placement Experience:
Placements are really nice. Companies visit in the 7th semester majorly, some might come in 8th sem also. But only intern companies come in 6th sem.
Some companies - American Express, Oshneering, Priority, KPMG,ProcDNA,ZS Associates,Mahindra and Mahindra,BEL, Finxera ,etc
I am gonna go for placements only

- The thing i like about the hoshiarpur campus is that it has all the facilities from having sports and grounds to medical facilities , the campus is surrounded by lush green environment and we can see himachal mountains too the weather here is great.
- The faculty here is very encouraging and also strict at the same time they will encourage you to perform in your specific domain and do great , the seniors and the alumni base here is also very skilled and learned the also help and guide you .
- The curriculum is is planned in such a way that it helps in cracking placements in the desired branches specially in the core field , students from other branches are also allowed to take part in IT placements and even get placed in IT jobs.
Dislikes
- The things which is mostly disliked in the college is that the environment is not suitable for out side states , the locals here try to loot the people from other state by increasing Rent prices or goods prices.
Placement Experience:
The campus placements here are pretty decent , not that much good but if study hard specifically for placements then easily can get around 6lpa paclage , also there is plenty of time for other comptetevie exams such as gate , cat or upsc people spend ample amount of time in studyng these subjects and get selectd too , also higher study in foreing university and colleges can be focused if cgpa can be foced based on acadmics , the opportunity here is never ending.

- All the professors were skilled and had a great experience in research work , they had a deep and intensive knowledge of their subject .
- The lab facilities available were top notch
- Design and innovation lab offered students an opportunity to work on real time projects of IOT as well as machine learning
Dislikes
- Limited seats in hostel . Only meritorious students have the access to it .
- Skills like machine learning and deep learning are being promoted but fields like Full Stack development , DevOps are being downsized .
- Security Guards and non-teaching staff is generally rude .

- Campus Night life is amazing. Hostels are open 24*7 . There are no restrictions on entry and exit of student .Hostel life is the best here.
- The teachers teach quite good and the subject can be understood in class itself.also they are very supportive in every manner
- They strictly following no ragging rules and strict actions are taken against those who try to rag .
Dislikes
- They don't provide oncampus internship opportunities
- The classrooms aren't cleaned regularly. They are dusty most of the times .
Placement Experience:
From 7 th semester students become eligible for placements .
Almost all the students of it and cse gets placed.the highest package of 2024 was around 22 lakhs and the average package is around 8 lakhs.
Zs visits for non tech roles and lots of other companies visits for tech roles.
Many students sit for off campus placements also if they wish to get higher package then those offered by companies that visit .
Most of the companies that visit offer a package of around 9-10 lakhs for it and cse .
