Days that I miss the most today.

Likes

Jipmer is the best Anti ragging medical college campus in the south India with best faculties and advanced teaching techniques.
20 acre campus with medical college and all super specialties. Best faculties and availability of all advanced treatment and machines.
24 hours lively campus with full security staffs and special caring for students through academics and co curricular activities

Dislikes

No active placement cell in place, but the referrals from senior consultants helps to get a job

Course Curriculum Overview:

First year is full of theory. Annual exam at the end. Second and third year semester wise with full of practicals and clinical postings in different operation theatres and icus. Curriculum is the best with good exposure for students.

My experience as a second year student in JIPMER.

Likes

Facilities like gym , park, hostel rooms etc
Fest (SPANDAN) and holi cultural program
Less restrictions in hostel and facilities provided in hostel

Dislikes

Lack of responsibility of faculty and other workers
No mess facility in hostel , student has to run around looking for mess
Common mess manager behaviour (lack of responsibility)

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course and the exposure to clinical side is appreciable but I think the faculty involvement can be slightly increased. Exam level and their difficulty has increased over the time making use of new technologies. There are 2 semesters per year and exams are also based on the semesters.

Here we are seeing lot of different language peoples over here
There is no ragging here and there is no partiality here because here lower of other language peoples and students over here
We are feeling very good while studying because the lecturers are really good so this toughest we can study all the years without any discouragement.

Dislikes

The thing which I didn't like this they are not giving hostel for local students.
Tabiyat your contacting is through email only this is so answer because lot of email and notification are not coming nowadays.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum which they are giving our more advanced level which is easier to tackle the problem in the real. There are lot of subjects initiated this year like sociology, physiology ,anatomy, forensic and medical surgical nursing and communicative nursing communicative English health nursing so on. Sociology and psychology are very well that which are useful in the real world not only in academic purpose. Aur the subjects which are interrelated to each other if we having any question in biochemistry we can get answers in physiology also so all the subjects are interrelated so it is very easy to prepare for the exam also.

College timings I didn't like from my college
Break timing will not be present in my college academic I don't like that thing

I just wanted to be a doctor but I didn't got medical seat so I chose nursing but after choosing nursing for few years I didn't liked but after realising sone things like comparing to doctors nurses are the one who are taking care more to patients than the doctors and we are the one who are spending more time with the patients.So I started to love the nursing field.my curriculum was good to prepare and it made me to learn more things.

I like the way campus is built it has many student friendly spots to sit and interact.
The freedom that is provided inside campus is also very useful and beneficial for the students inside the campus
The level of security that campus provide is really really good

Dislikes

I found partiality among some of the staff on basis of course the students are studying

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum that influenced me to this course is radiation physics .But the thing is we just have to study this subject for just 2 semester.Teaching method was all fine in my concept because we were provided with posting from first semester onwards .some thing I felt irrelevant in the curriculum was pharmacology which was no where in the syllabus for us to study after second year .Thats what I felt irrelevant about studying pharmacology.also we don't have any use of studying it .instead of that radiation physics can be taken more deeply for us .about timing of exam I felt it as good one because only in first year we had exam on yearly basis one second year on wards we had semester wise exam which is better for us to study also.i think in first year also it can be made semester wise exam which will be more convenient for the students .

My overall experience at jawaharlal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research is very good
The things i liked most in my college is faculty, infrastucture and placement
The faculties are very supporting and give proper guidence

Dislikes

The things are i liked most in my campus than disliked
There is nothing to dislike in these institute

Course Curriculum Overview:

Unlike other colleges this college conduct yearly exams. This will help the students to prepare well through out the year and relaeses the students from exam stress of semester system. The college will conduct 4 internal exam yearly for which you have to prepare well. Along with that they will conduct 1 sentup exam as well as one university exam. By all totaling the marks of IA s and the finsl two exams they will publish the results. Any kind of mal practice is strictly prohibited in this college

Placement Experience:

Since we are doing professional course, placement availability is less in jipmer.But cirtificate is highly valid all over india.Professors from various colleges come here for research and surgery purpose.If they like our passion about on work,they will impress.After completing course you will get job easily.

Likes

Eco friendly huge campus with all facilities
Gym is available for the studients for exercising
Indoor stadium are available for the students

Dislikes

Academic pressure is high .you have to manage it it
Year back system is there.if you fail in one subject in supplementary you have to study with your juniors
If you have attendance shortage you cannot able to attempt university exam

Course Curriculum Overview:

It's a 4 year course there is both theory class and clinical experience are provided in 1st year for theory classes 75% attendance is necessary to attend the university exams and for clinical100 % attendance is necessary if not compensation will be there

The campus, buildings trees and nature. The view.
College and faculties, classroom experience
Posting and practical experience, hands on experience

Dislikes

Curfew at the hostel for the nursing students
Unfriendly staff who are very rude and harsh
Language barrier which is reported to get better after few years.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Includes patient care, care of sick, health education etc Internal exams held frequently Difficulty is moderate Curriculum is well planned and implemented, very useful for future career prospects. Curriculum should have been more flexible and less stress-inducing to students............ Course is integrated with 6 months internship which is no doubt going to be of utmost use to students in kick-starting their career in nursing. Course is very well planned

Academically, I gained exposure to a vast variety of cases. This has worked to enhance my confidence as a medical professional.

In the Pediatrics ward, you may visit the neonatal ICU, and see how sick newborns are taken care of. You may attempt resuscitation on a baby. You may conduct deliveries in the Labour room, and perform minor sutures. You may interact with cancer patients, and others suffering from life threatening illnesses. You may work in the surgical emergency department.You’ll witness many births and deaths.

JIPMER lets you explore your field of interest. Whichever department you are interested in, you can volunteer for the same. You can volunteer in every department if you like, no one will stop you.

I secured 548 marks(GEN) in neet 2022 and I want to pursue Bsc Nursing. Which college should i choose from JIPMER,LHMC,RAKCON? I want to work abroad after my nursing degree. I am from Maharashtra. Please help me regarding these. I am very confused what college to choose as I am eligible for all the colleges.

All the three insitiutes are popular and good for pursuing B.Sc Nursing program. But considering the factors such as infrastructure, faculty, exposure, internships, placements, etc. JIPMER stands on top of the other two colleges.
