Jipmer is the best Anti ragging medical college campus in the south India with best faculties and advanced teaching techniques.
20 acre campus with medical college and all super specialties. Best faculties and availability of all advanced treatment and machines.
24 hours lively campus with full security staffs and special caring for students through academics and co curricular activities

Dislikes

No active placement cell in place, but the referrals from senior consultants helps to get a job

Course Curriculum Overview

First year is full of theory. Annual exam at the end. Second and third year semester wise with full of practicals and clinical postings in different operation theatres and icus. Curriculum is the best with good exposure for students.

Internships Opportunities

Optional one year internship available. Interested students can chose for it. This one year moulds the student to become a professional in their career with full time exposure to the work environment. Stipend amunt was 4950 rupees per month, worth for the experience that we get

Fees and Financial Aid

Only need to pay the tuition fee and no donation fees. Its around 8000 per year. Students can apply for the central scholarships and their state specific scholarships. After completion of the course, students can apply for the one year optional internship with a stipend of 4950 per month. more than the value of money, i value the internship certificate

Campus Life

Jipmer feels like second home, even after 3 years of competition of the course. Jipmer is the best medical college in south India. Pondicherry is such a beautiful place and i feel jipmer is the heart of the place.

Hostel Facilities

During the course, I stayed at aschoff house and in old curie house during internship. They provide 2 or 3 person sharing room during course and single room during internship. Hostel fee is just 500 rupees per month. Worth for the money

Hostel Fee: INR 6000 per year

Admission

Applied through all india jipmer paramedical exam. I got all india rank 27 and category (obc) rank 19. Got shortlisted for the 1st round counselling, attended the counselling in person on the date. Got selected.

From second year onwards we are posted in our respective departments and classes are given by the professors and residents in the cardiology department

Jipmer is the second best medical college in India after aiims Delhi . The admission process here is quite different . JIPMER: Above and Beyond

I applied for AIIMS Delhi but I didn't get an admission because my AIR was 100. My second choice was JIPMER and I got into here. For admission into JIPMER, like any other medical college you are required to write the NEET UG exam and based upon your rank you can get admission into the college of your choice. For admission into AHS, you are again required to write the NEET UG exam. The cutoffs are really high for mbbs admission and it is usually around 300 AIR for the general category students....Read More

In NEET I got 404 and i applied in jipmer bsc counseling session which was via the official website. I got selected and my jipmer rank was 98. There was no separate jipmer exam as such but earlier it was there. Offline counseling session was there .
