Curriculum should have been more flexible and less stress-inducing to students............ Course is integrated with 6 months internship which is no doubt going to be of utmost use to students in kick-starting their career in nursing. Course is very well planned

Class Size: 94Course Fees: INR 11000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fee for first year is Rs.11400 Fee reduces for subsequent years because in first year we have to pay lts of security and caution deposits which will be returned to us once the four year course is completed and we graduate. Hostel fee for first year is 20000 rs and 15000 in subsequent years for single room and 12000 for shared room. Mess fee is Rs. 3000 per month which goes upto Rs.36000 per year. Miscellaneous fee per month is Rs. 5000

Campus Life

The biggest festival held in jipmer is spa ndan, which is a week long gala of culuturals, arts, sports and literature. It is an all india festival integrating almost every medical college in india. Apart from spandan, jipmer also organizes various events such as onam, holi, Christmas etc. All sorts of sports activities are encouraged at jipmer, with indoor stadium, outdoor stadium and swimming pool. Classes are integrated with latest technology.

Hostel Facilities

Chair, table, fan,light, cupboard, bed are provided . Meals are through mess facility providing 3 meals a day - breakfast, lunch and dinner. Meals are of utmost quality and standard , very tasty, and nutritious. Affordable as it is rs 3000 only per month.

Hostel Fee: INR 20000 per year

Admission

Eligibility is through passing neet examination. Selection based on merit and reservation in neet.. Application form can be found online in jipmer website, applications go on for around 3 weeks, after which in-person counselling happens at jipmer. Neet is held once in an year, very competitive and difficult examination.

I also applied for ayurveda in kottakal arya vaidya sala and got a seat but I preferred studying in jipmer for a paramedical course rather than doing ayurveda. Jipmer is the second best medical college in India after aiims Delhi . The admission process here is quite different . JIPMER: Above and Beyond

I applied for AIIMS Delhi but I didn't get an admission because my AIR was 100. My second choice was JIPMER and I got into here. For admission into JIPMER, like any other medical college you are required to write the NEET UG exam and based upon your rank you can get admission into the college of your choice. For admission into AHS, you are again required to write the NEET UG exam. In NEET I got 404 and i applied in jipmer bsc counseling session which was via the official website. I got selected and my jipmer rank was 98. There was no separate jipmer exam as such but earlier it was there. Offline counseling session was there .
