Course Curriculum Overview

2

The course and the exposure to clinical side is appreciable but I think the faculty involvement can be slightly increased. Exam level and their difficulty has increased over the time making use of new technologies. There are 2 semesters per year and exams are also based on the semesters.

Internships Opportunities

1

Internship in the jipmer hospital for 6 months available . But the internship is not compulsory.Hostel facility not available during internship. The pay is less. Rarely anyone does internship after their course in JIPMER.

Fees and Financial Aid

1st year academic fee-10,000/- 1st year hostel fee- 20,000/- 2nd year academic fee-5760/- 2nd year hostel fee-12,000/- SNA( Student Nurses Association) provides scholarship to 1 student per batch. Internship after 4 year course is available but not compulsory.

Campus Life

3

The campus life is great. Restrictions are less compared to other colleges. Fests conducted in JIPMER is called SPANDAN, it usually takes place in July or August, it is conducted by the mbbs students. 3rd and 4th year classrooms are ACed. Almost all sports ground is present along with Gym and swimming pool. Clubs are mostly run by mbbs students, No or rare involvement of Bsc students are seen.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Nice rooms with three people in one room. Wfans 3cots 3table 3 chair 3 cupboards. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Other facilities are fridge, washing machine, water cooler ,volleyball court etc.

Admission

One has to write the NEET entrance exam for the admission. Once the application forms are released in JIPMER website, you fill the form and then rank list is published. All registered students are asked to attend the councelling at JIPMER with their documents. Councelling is a three days proceedure in which one the first day itself you will be allotted your respective course based on your rank and then on the 3rd and 4th day the document work will be done including the hostel .
