Rating my college

Yes there are few ragging incidents which has taken place in our campus but now our college authorities have taken strict decision against that offence to make our college environment lucrative for study.

There are regular theory classes being held in a week in our college particularly in my department CSE. Practical classes are being conducted by our expert lab assistants who have wide experience of working in Industrial projects and these classes should not be skipped as it is taken widely care off by our faculties. There are 2 internal tests which are being conducted before our semester exams so that we could review our preparation. Sometimes seminars are also conducted by our faculties/guest faculties regarding the cutting edge technologies which might help us for our future prospects

There is hardly any scope of placement in our college as it is situated in North Bengal and also it has started just a few years before but yes our TPO cell is working hard to organize some pool campus placements in other colleges. Yes our college provides internship during third year of our college

Freshers Day, Foundation Day, Teachers Day and a College Fest named Esperanza are few of the events which are held in our college in every year. We have lots of fun during that time because it gives us refreshment from our hectic schedule.

Semester fees for CSE/ECE department is Rs 6000, Whereas Semester fees for ME/CE/EE is Rs 4000, The college fees in our college is quite feasible as compared to other Engineering Colleges and even a bright student from a middle class family can afford to study in our college.

No there is no such loan facility which I have availed. But there are few scholarship schemes like SVMCM and Oasis (only for OBC/SC/ST) which are available and you can apply for it by submitting a document of it in our college

There are sports activities in our college like Football, Cricket and Volleyball tournaments are held in our college and even you can get selected to perform in other colleges if you perform well. You can get chance to represent our college in various tournaments

The alumni network in our college are quite helpful and they are always ready to help us whether we are in need. Also leaving a few seniors majority of them are quite helpful and they acts as siblings and they guide you and help you out from any problems and doubts

I qualified WBJEE and my rank was around 7000.So I decided to take admission in this college as I got this college during the first round of my counselling. My department in this college is CSE as I have a great interest in this domain. If someone can't get this college during counselling than they might get this college during spot counselling as it's rank cutoff for that counselling is par too high even a rank of 24000 can get you a seat in this government college

Faculties who are present in our college mostly have pursued MTECH and PhD degrees from very renowned Universities. Their teaching quality is excellent accept few of them who don't have enough experience and don't know how to attract attention of the students while teaching.
