Likes

The college is located near the centre of delhi towards the south and every famous spot is close to it
It provides good placement opportunity to the students

Dislikes

It is not located in north campus and lacks that environment
People are not that social and keen to interact
Theirs no AC in classes and are there only in Labs

Course Curriculum Overview

Being honest, the curriculum of whole Delhi university is outdated and the reason i chose bachelors of commerce in sri venkateswara college is because i preferred college over course. The main exams take place every 4-5 months and mid sems are easy too

Internships Opportunities

Sri venkateswara college provide pretty decent internship opportunities to students.Companies which are considered good comes to campus for internships during the summer internship tenure. Being a first year student i havent done any internship yet so cant comment anymore

Placement Experience

Students become eligible for campus placement in their last year of graduation. The placement opportunities provided by SVC is quiet good. The Big 4 firms which are pwc,deloitte,kpmg and EY also comes for campus placement

Fees and Financial Aid

The First Year Fees for bachelor of commerce for general category was 20855/- ruppees and it varies course to course and for different categories too. However we were not provided with the detailed fee structure on the Fees slip

Campus Life

The overall experience of campus life was pretty decent.The social life is fun too,SVC regularly hosts events such as annual fest aka Nexus is one of the best fest all over DU. It hosted a fresher party, Ethnic day party and an event on swami vivekananda's birthday too.

Admission

i gave ipucet too and qualified it very well but still came to sri venkateswara college because of its prestige, better placement opportunity and the companies that come to its placement.The eligibility of SVC is the cuet score and rank you achieve for the course you applied to. This year the 1st round cut off was 871/1000 for Bcom program

Faculty

Alll the faculty of college is highly qualified and we even get to study from authors of the book we study during graduation,as well as most of them are Ph.D in their main subject. The faculty is approachable and friendly too.Exams are not that difficult

Night Life

Being a Day scholar i have no idea about the night life of the campus. But gyms,cafeterias and libraries are accesible in satya niketan, the colony nearby. i have no idea about hangout places at night too

The curriculum is very interesting & it teaches you a lot about the entrepreneurship. Specially in the field of commerce it gives you the right information and exposure to the real world. Subjects like Corporate law , business law , Cost accounting and etc teaches you a lot about practicality.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would say that SEC and VAC, were added by the university to enhance students mind, but these subjects feel more like burden to the students. And also the theoretical and numerics being taught, are not relevant to todays world, as curiculum in the books is not upto date, The assignments pressure.. and sometimes the fear of getting low marks.

MLNCE - Average but Enjoyable

Placement Experience:

The placement in Motilal Nehru College (Evening) is decent and is led mainly by the Placement Cell. Though inactive earlier, the placement cell has become significantly more active recently, bringing in more internship and job opportunities. Students become eligible for placements during 3rd year. In a good placement season, companies like Deloitte, KPMG, PwC, EY come for Audit, Taxation, Risk Advisory, HR jobs. Other companies like DE Shaw & Co, Accenture, Capital IQ also come during job fairs. Earlier, Wipro, TCS, Amazon, Flipkart have also recruited from the college mainly for Sales, Business Development, Operations jobs. Highest on-campus package is ?18.7 LPA and rhe average package is ?3.6-4.5 LPA. Approximately 40% to 50% of students who participate in the process secure placements. My plan is to get into freelancing after college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In regard to the relevancy of the course Im quite fond of the subjects such as BL CA AND HRM they give us the better insights for both practical and theoritical knowledge making us ready for the "real" world . As For the improvement i feel like there should be some flexibility in GE so that students can choose a sub as per their choice as Hindi is fixed for me which isnt quite suitable for my course and it just drags my CGP down. The frequency if the exam is okay but the timing I feel like its way too fast just after first sem exam we had classes and all test and felt like it went on a spur

An Unfiltered View of SRCC

Placement Experience:

Placement in SRCC is very amazing, and way beyond the placements of DU colleges. A lot of big big names in Finance, and consulting domain, recruit from campus including McKinsey & Co., Bain & Company, Kearney, Big 4s and all. Highest package is 35+ LPA and Average Package is 10 LPA. I HAVE PLANNED TO complete my ACCA along with a little work experience.

All about SRCC life, exposure, placements, faculty and my experience

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

My view regarding my college

Remarks:

Academically you can choose it but if you are looking for some fancy institution with some best infrastructure and fancy canteen I won't suggest you this college. But this college has one of the very best cricket team and one of our student named Mayank dagar is leading Indian National under-19 team. So I think you understand the impact.
