Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is reflective of the current themes but still contains topics that are from the past. If I look at my course, in Political Science one first learns about the theoretical part, the Indian Administrative structure and then goes on to topics such as international relation and world politics.
Fees and Financial Aid
The course I have is of a B.A Program degree with my major being in Political Science and my minor being in Sociology. The yearly fees is of around 15,000 rupees and apart from that we have to pay a separate sum when applying for semester exams. The amount for the exams vary depending on the papers we have in the semester.
Campus Life
The overall experience of the college is great, one has multiple options of societies to join and create friendships. The societies also help in learning other skills such as communication, negotiation and leadership which would be helpful for jobs and internships as well.
Admission
In my CUET form Miranda House was one of my top choices, the reason being that I was interested in studying political science and Miranda House is considered one of the best colleges in terms of faculty and infrastructure for the subject.
Faculty
The faculty members are great and are really inspiring, they are ready to help you whenever needed. The course structure is such that there are 7 papers in total, 2 papers for your major subject, 1 for minors, AEC, GE, SEC and VAC. Your major, minor and GE are for 4 credits each and the others are for 2, so in total you need 22 credits per semester.
Night Life
Since I am a day scholar and I don't stay at the campus beyond class hours, I have not personally experienced the night life around the campus. But from what I hear from my friend who do live apround the campus, there are places to go and since our college is around other colleges, there are usually students hanging around at Kamla Nagar, Vijay Nagar, Hudson lane etc
