What Students Say
Likes
- The diversity of college is good. I met a lot of new personalities with different mindsent belonging to different parts of the country.
- The faculty is well educated and keeps all the students engaged in what they are teaching.
- Regular tests help us concentrate more on syllabus and motivates us to study consistently
Dislikes
- Wifi connection is really bad. Even the mobile data doesn't work in college
- They don't provide any room for society practices.
Course Curriculum Overview
Curriculum is very old and rigid, they still teach traditional methods which lack practical knowledge and syllabus is updated really slowly. But with the introduction of SEC and VAC courses, students can now choose from a variety of skill enhancement courses and make a combination of their own.
Fees and Financial Aid
The whole 3 year course costs me around 97-1 lac rupees For the first year I paid 32500 rupees. I also had to pay an exam fee of 1400 for the first semester, which I'll have to pay every semester. There was no registration fees as such.
Campus Life
The overall campus is good. I am yet to experience our annual fest 'MANJARI', but I have heard that it is really fun and exciting. Our college also organises Diwali mela, Dandiya night, Bhandara and stuff. Also I am a part of Alahyya- the Indian music choir society. Their annual event- AAROH is really fun and competitive. We get to meet different people from all over du.
Admission
Nirf ranking was one of the major reasons why I chose this college. Also being an all girls college, a safe environment is provided for girls so parents also need not worry about any serious safety issues.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is quite good. It's 40:1. We also have tutorials in which the teacher focusses on a batch of 20 students and solve their doubts. We can also approach them whenever we want. They take class tests very frequently.
Night Life
The college is situated in the north campus itself i.e. it is surrounded by many other colleges making the environment student friendly. My personal favourite area to hangout is in the Lawn especially in winters since there is a lot of sunlight and greenery making the environment very serene.
