What Students Say
Likes
- The first and the foremost thing I like about this college is that it's situated in North campus. I really wanted to experience the culture and vibe of here.I have heard a lot of North campus from my family and relatives and being able to experience.
- The faculty is really nice, experienced and genuinely knowledgable.Eco hons is known to be a tough course but the professors at drc make it feels easier. They break down theories and mathematical concepts in a simple structured way.
- Drc also offers a range of courses across science, commerce and humanities which create a diverse academic environment. It makes the experience more rich and dynamic.
Dislikes
- One of the things I dislike about drc is that even though it offers various courses, there are not enough classrooms because of this we often have to shift rooms and roam here and there in search of a class around the campus.
Course Curriculum Overview
In future i am looking forward to pursue a career in finance or consulting.Eco hons not only builds a strong foundation but also provides a great career prospects for someone wants to pursue a career in policy making, banking, research and economics. This course is both theory heavy and practical. The difficultly level is from moderate to high.
Internships Opportunities
Our college offers various internship opportunities. You can apply for internship in different companies, startups or NGOs for any field like writing, content creation, research and other projects. These internship opportunities help you build real Life skills and portfolio from the very first college year.
Fees and Financial Aid
Hi,I am jahnavi Singh and I am currently pursuing economics honours from drc.The fees structure of our course is around 32k for an year.It does not include any lab fees. Exam fees has to be paid as per du norms and it is as per subject. Our college does offers various scholarships and fee concession instruments.
Campus Life
My overall experience over here is amazing. There are a lot of societies and clubs and I am also a part of few.The seniors are really helpful and sweet and i have learned a lot from them. The library of the college is also good and has a range of books available. And if i talk about fest and other activities, there is always one thing or other happening in our college. That's the beauty of du north campus.
Admission
I have also applied to GGSIPU and i secured a seat over there in Maharaja surajmal (1st shift) for BBA. The reason I chose daulat Ram over ipu was because of it's academic reputation and it's overall environment.DU offers best faculty, campus culture and better internships compared to ipu.
Faculty
The faculty members are really nice and approachable. The faculty and students relationship is also nice.We are a class of 60 students and in that most of us don't really get to connect with the professors but we have our tutorial batches(basically doubt session) which consists of 10 to 20 students in one batch and there we really get to connect and ask one to one questions with our professors. And there are 2 exams in a semester-midsems and endsems. We also have our IA and CA which are internal assessment and cummulative assessment throughout the year.
Night Life
One of our favourite hang out spot is kamala nagar. We usually go there in break time.If we want to go to a cafe or want to do some shopping or just want to go and eat some waffles or chole bhature that's our place to go.The classes usually wrap up around 6 and after that we usually prefer to walk to metro station instead of taking an auto. The whole route is filled with the book stall, coffee stall and other small shops plus the greenery and everything makes it feel so peaceful and unreal.
