Course Curriculum Overview

5

I do like the content we are taught but the binders are sometimes confusing. I think giving books would be better and so our teacher says as well. But i do understand that binders make it compact and easier for us to study but they sometimes do not have things in proper order. For my department i do like what we are being taught but it may be different for other depts

Internships Opportunities

3

I have no idea as its my first semester so i have neither applied nor i got much opportunities but im sure, being the top college of the country, There are probably good opportunities The name of a mirandian itself is a badge of honour.

Placement Experience

3

I dont know much about placements as i am still in my first year. But we have placement cell entrepreneurship cell and enactus which i think prepare the students well. My plan is civil services as it has always been since childhood so i will probably not be sitting for placements

Fees and Financial Aid

I paid 16016 rupees for one year which in my opinion is pretty afforadable and convenient. Miranda House provides mostly very good facilities so I believe that it is worth it. It is better than most DU colleges and the infrastructure is actually very impressive but then it is also one of the top colleges and the case is probably not the same for other colleges, because I have heard enough about du colleges having bad infrastructure and management. I think the fees is the same for all categories. There are a few scholarship opportunities but you will need to be active enough to find out when they are put out. As for me i did not apply for any scholarships

Campus Life

5

We have the diwali fest called onella and our annual college fest called tempest. I am in first sem so i am only aware of these as far But extra curriculars are very active in our college like theres an event every other day. It is pretty fun conferences events etc Sports are very good and societies are very active

Admission

This was my first preference. Always wanted miranda It was my dream college as it was nirf #1 for 7 consecutive years We are required to give CUET to get into Du with the same subjects we studied in 12th grade. Most preferred course in my college is political science hons which has the highest cut off and it was my first preference as well but i couldnt clear the cut off for it

Faculty

3

Faculty is mostly good but i feel the new faculties are more active and enthusiastic and much much more approachable than the older ones, atleast in my department. I do not like introduction to the indian constitution GE teacher of section B. Nobody in the class likes her. We have not understood a single word she has taught. We mainly only have end-sems but we have tests in between and a lot of assignments and i do not like this system because the tests are anytime the teacher wants and it sometimes becomes unserious or does not agree with our schedule. It would have been better to just conduct mid-sems together for all subjects which would have made us take studying seriously and actually perform in the tests like we are meant to. We get too many useless assignments which ultimately leads us in way too stressful situations having all presentations and due dates in one day.

Night Life

3

Favourite hangout spots are nescafe pam or canteen and outside college, tom uncle or trigonometry cafe Hudson lane and kamla nagar are go tos for anything Front lawns are great during winters The entire college is warm and comfortable and we can chill in any corner. Our building is so beautiful that we always get amazing views and pictures Miranda is truly the most aesthetic and prettiest Miranda hostel does not have a curfew Most students live in PGs which have different curfews but usually lenient North campus is mostly safe but phone snatching is prevelent especially after 10 pm

The following curriculum is designed in accordance with the NEP 2020. It discusses the ancient political structures of India as a nation-state and the political philosophy of Western nations. The course offers deep insight into India's political workings and institutions. Further, it also dives deep into the revolutionary thinkers of the past and explores their ideas and thoughts that help students understand the political evolution from a historical perspective.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Okay, so basically I read this highly course curriculum is best in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness students are also interested in all subject specific aspects of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose this course or it has good education system. Teachers are highly qualified and preparing system is also very good. They teach every good aspect of the subject and try to understand us. There is less improvement areas but one improvement it needs is the presence of insurance are a bit less presence at the time of exam so they have to check it. The frequency and time of exams are a little bit fast but it is minimal and it keeps 3 hours away exam which is very good

Placement Experience:

Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the third semester. Some of the reputed companies that visit our campus are Disha, KPMG, grand Thornton, et cetera. I think the highest package was 24 lakhs per annum and the average package is nine lakh Since a lot of students from our college do not typically go for placements. The percentage of students getting placement is relatively low and my plans after the degree are to find a job and pursue my masters after it.
