Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is pretty interesting with a blend of both western and indian thought. Reading about Indian political thought for the first time in my life was definitely a new and a fruitful experience. Helps you to grasp the events happening around you in a more comprehensive and logical manner. It truly is amazing to read all the complex articles and figuring out the real meaning while reading between the lines.
Fees and Financial Aid
The yearly fees of my course is Rs 16060 that I paid for first year. The course is pretty affordable with amazing faculty and facilities. The Foreign students have a fees but more that ours. Scholarships are available in the college, sponsered by Delhi University, various reputed institutions and even people who want to contribute to the society. They are mostly based on the needs of financially compromised people but some are also based on merit.
Campus Life
Miranda's fest is called Tempest. Alongside that, every department has their respective fest too. For political science, their fest is called Ecclesia. There are many societies in the college which hold their fests too. Library is amazing and tech-driven.
Admission
Went through CUET and Miranda was my second preference. My other preferences included Hindu College, Kirori Mal College, Ramjas College, Sri Venkateswara College, Jesus and Mary college, Daulatram College, Stephen's College and Hansraj College. The eligibility depends on the cutoff. And no, I did not get rejected from any college, Miranda ais simply what I got and I am truly grateful.
Faculty
The faculty is amazing. If you think they're strict, they will be only when they think you are going on the wrong path. Some of the best advices are the ones they will give you. Understanding and caring, they love us like their own children. Some faculties might be a bit complex to understand, but other than that all of them are like coconuts. They will want to appear hard and strict, but they are softies from inside.
Night Life
I don't live in hostel. I am a day scholar. But as much as I have heard, it's pretty vibrant. The markets of Kamala Nagar and Vijay Nagar and pretty affordable and have amazing hangout places. The college too is amazing. Nescafe, canteen, PAM, Millets, all these places are warm and amazing to hangout with friends. You can even sit casually in corridors and talk to friends..front lawns is the fav hangout places for a lot of people.
