I have selected civil engineering because I want to grab a job in government sector. Yes curriculum prepares us for real world application by giving projects and assignments that are based on real world problems I am in first year so I can't talk very much in this aspect Semester exams are neither difficult nor easy .Mid sem and end semester are the major exams that happen

Internships Opportunities

For tech braches there are many companies that came for internship like jp Morgan American express paypal etc with maximum stipend upto 1.5 lack per month and average stipend is about 25k per month. As I am in first I don't have exact data about these

Placement Experience

From 3rd semester students eligible for internship placement take place in 4th sem Various companies for various roles visit pec apple Microsoft Amazon American express l&t bratatina jp Morgan Overall 70% Students gets placed in 2025 in my branch civil around 33% students gets placed and for cse around 90% Average package of college is 14lpa Average package of civil is 11lpa Average package of cse is 17lpa My plans after getting degree is to get a good govt job

Fees and Financial Aid

Per semester fees is around 94k At time of admission I have paid 1.13L Admission fees 5k Security deposit 8k One time student service fee 6k Other charges 6k I have no idea about fees of other category students Scholarship are as follows Fee waivers for social uplift of students Fee Waivers for students belonging to Persons with Disabilities Category Fee waivers during emergency situations Scholarships offered by Govt. And non-Govt. Organization Fee waivers based on annual family income of students

Campus Life

PECfest occurs once a year during November In library wide range of books are available from engineering to apptitude to other competitive exams maximum books are present 1st year classrooms have acs and projetors are also present Sports facilities is good . All types of grounds are available like athletics football cricket volleyball badminton etc Various clubs are present like robotics drams EIC ATS etc By joining clubs junior senior interaction increase and communication skills increases of student

Hostel Facilities

The first year hostel shivalik is divided into 3 blocks A,B,C I am living in c block so my room is 2 seater with one almarih that I share with my roommate a balcony is provided in my room and for bathroom hot and cold water are available 12 months Mees food is decent eatable menu is good dishes changes form day to day along with one sweetdish in dinner hostel registration opens at the time of admission with required documents

Admission

In jossa councelling I have filled nit kurukshetra, Jaipur, Jalandhar, hamirpur etc Yes the cutoff for above college are high my rank is low so I can't make these For Taking admission in my college you have to secure a good rank in jee mains then apply for jossa and csab councelling. If your rank is less than closing rank you will get admission in pec . closing rank of last branch metallurgy is 83000 in 2025 and for cse it is 13000

Faculty

I have not accurate idea about that but for my batch of 120 divided into 60-60 groups and different teachers teach different groups. Faculty is chill relationship between proffers and students are good(professors often give free attendance) Some professors are very strict that's why maximum students not like them Major 2 exams are happen mid sem and end sem and quizzes and viva happen in every 3rd week (depends upon the subject). Course curriculum is relevant to us all industry subjects and practical are included

Night Life

Famous hangout space in our college is pec market (college market) Gym is present opening timing are 6-10am and 4 to 8pm Hostel entry time at night is 10pm is only for 1st year after first year there is no in timings Outside college we often goes to sukhna lake for fun

Placement Experience:

The placement for overall college is around 13 14 LPa But if you specifically choose CSC rec then this average will increase for CSE is around 17 lakh and for ECE is around 1500000 per annum Student become eligible for placement from third year onward. In 2025 the highest CTC was given by Apple around 63 lakh. Since I am doing civil engineering I will go in government exam preparation.

Industrial alignment elected for research opportunity that influence your daily Jason if a student are dedicated to their preparation, then they can crack any interview so that her second reason is real world readiness. cheque if syllabus, including particle project internship and case studies to please the gap between theory and industry, need that can be explained everything by their real world readiness. The third thing is areas of improvement. I am in first year and first year is same for all branches, so I don't know a lot about electrical engineering specifically. But of what I have heard from seniors, electrical branch is more difficult, and in pec u get not that many core companies. While u get a lot of finance, IT, coding etc companies.
