Course Curriculum Overview

4

I'd rate the curriculum decently relevant as the desipline specific courses focus mainly on business administration, legal, and financial aspects. The rest of the courses provided in our college have some subjects which are very relevant and others which aren't, what you get is based on your preference and on first come first serve basis.

Internships Opportunities

5

Many companies offer internship opportunities to the students in our college, most with a considerable stipend. Some of the most famous ones are Tata, Paytm, EY, and Nestle. There are also many start-ups that reqruit interns students for roles like business development or sales associate.

Placement Experience

5

The placement cell of our college is amazing, bringing many internship and pre-placement offer opportunities to the students. The average package being between 5-7 LPA, and the highest package grossing over 20 LPA. Around 60-80% of the students get placements. If i don't get a placement, I'd presue higher studies.

Fees and Financial Aid

I paid INR 18741 to be exact for the first year at Deshbandhu College, B.Com (Hons) course. I did not available any scholarship but I have been exposed to the fact that their are many scholarship opportunities availed to the students here. The fee for the next two years should be similar but slowly rising as the current economic trends have shown it to in the previous years.

Campus Life

5

My observation as of now has been the the environment in the college is pretty chill and relaxed. The seniors are friendly, there are regular workshops and events. The societies in the college are quite nice but competitive to get into, they're quite involved with the student community.

Admission

I chose this college over many others based on its NIRF ranking, placement records, as well as the direction of the college. Its been steadily climbing the ranks and has great potential to become one of the top colleges in Delhi University. There were also some colleges i preferred but didn't get in due to the marks I got in CUET UG.

Faculty

5

The faculty members of the commerce department of Deshbandhu College are very sweet. They listen to your problems and provide great help. They're also always available on phone. The teaching methods they use are simple but effective. Using personalized notes, analysing previous year papers for patterns, and taking regular doubt clearing sessions. The course structure is pretty simple with everyone having 3 decipline specific course subject, 1 ability enhance course, 1 skill enhancement course and 1 value addition course, 1 general elective. Each have an end of semester exam as per university standards, and the rest of the marks are divided into assignments, presentations, and viva as part of your internal assessment and continuous assessment.

Night Life

5

Our campus is surrounded by amazing spots. Being right next to major markets in Kalkaji, Cr Park and Greater Kailash. It's also near to social hubs like Haus Khaz, Lajpat and Saket. There's many cafes, Gamezones, gyms, street food around the college, alongside many kinds of shops. The locality is also one of the safest in Delhi, even at night. The distance makes its convenient to go after college timings or even in between id there's a gap.

I felt that the ranking and placements of Deshbandhu College were better

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course provides a comprehensive image of finance and management, though after NEP, the curriculum seems a little irrelevent. The exams are conducted twice in a year, 2 sems per year, they conduct mid sem exams as well.
