Dislikes

- Need to improve faculty and course curriculum, some of the subjects are outdated and some are unnecessary
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course by viewing the market trend that in today's cloud computing is at its peak, everything and everywhere is stored on the cloud. which makes it one of the biggest industries and technological advancements. The curriculum does match the real-world tech, but in some aspects, it lacks the industrial technological advancement. Things like AIML are kind of missing from the course, and books do not teach these things.
Internships Opportunities
The companies and roles usually depend on company to company, as a fresher's role, like a graduate intern trannies are offered to many students, and currently some students are placed, and their packages vary from 8lpa to 16 lpa. The internship stipend varies from 10k to 40k.
Placement Experience
Placement starts in the last year; depending on the course, it may start in the last year first or last year second sem. And major companies coming for placements are Tata TCS, Cisco, Deloitte, Tech Mahindra, Google, Microsoft, etc. You can see the list of companies on collage website they are pretty accurate what they have mentioned.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees for my program are around ? 1 lakh per annum, and my complete course is of 3 years, so that's ? 3 lakh, excluding hostel, mess, and other expenses. The only thing you can get for a fee concession is a scholarship based on your marks per annum and competitive exam score, and this scholarship can vary from 10% to 100%. There is no difference in fees except for the scholarship. Tution fees are 20k, caution fees are 10, registration fees are 5k, admission is not applicable, development fee is 50k and the remaining 15k. No category for st/sc things like that.
Campus Life
The college holds hundreds of fests; there are fests happening every 2 weeks or so. The majors are arrohan, ride, sldp, BCS, etc. The library is very big with 4 floors, and each floor is dedicated to a kind of department.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facilities depend on hostel to hostel, they provide facility that depends on how much you are paying. Usually, it starts from 1lakh and can go up to 3 lakh. PGs are really near the college, starting as close as 50 meters.
Admission
I did apply to some other collages like VIT SRM KIIT, but MIT is one of its kind in the heart of Pune city, with exposure to the city environment. And as Pune is known for technological hub, this increases opportunities. The admission process of MIT is pretty easy, as it can be done in many ways. One of the ways that got me into MIT is by their CET exam, which is held every year and based on the score, the branch and course cut off varies.
Faculty
The faculty-to-student ratio is decent, 1 faculty per 50 students. The relationship between faculty and students depends teacher to teachers; some are good, some need to improve, but they never say no if you approach them for some help. I can't name them as it may affect their teaching motivation, but some faculty members need to improve. There are 2 exams per semester, one is the midterm and one is the end exam. The midterm is 20 marks, and end term is 40 marks, and the remaining is the assignment and project. These marks may vary as per subjects.
Interview Experience
The test pattern is currently objective, with simple questions like a board exam. The level is pretty low and the exam can be given in remote online mode, so it's not a big deal to score good marks in the exam. I prepared for boards and similar questions the asked in the exam, nothing to worry about.
Night Life
The outside of college has everything that a student needs, from food vendors, cafes, gyms, hostels, etc. The college does have its own hostel, but students usually prefer pg, which provides better services with fewer restrictions.
