North Maharashtra University (NMU) is a teaching cum affiliating university in Maharashtra. NMU and its 220 affiliated colleges offer higher education in the fields of Arts, Management, Education, Science, Computer Applications, Engineering, Commerce and Agriculture.
Admission to the UG courses is granted on the basis of merit achieved by the students in the 10+2 level examination. However, for the B.Tech. course the university accepts valid MHT CET scores only. NMU grants admission to PG courses on the basis of national level entrance exams scores such as GATE, CAT, MAT, MAH MCA CET.
NMU has been accredited by NAAC with an 'A' grade and a CGPA score of 3.11 on a 4 point scale. Besides, NAAC has also honoured NMU with a prestigious 4 star status. The campus of NMU is spread across a vast area of 660 acres that includes 2 lakh trees, library, hostel for boys and girls, sports complex, laboratories, cafeteria, gym, medical facilities, plant tissue culture lab, shuttle service, auditorium, bank, post office, audio visual hall, convocation Auditorium, day care centre etc.
The university provides financial assistance in the form of scholarships to the needy and meritorious students. It also provides research fellowships so that students can continue their studies without any financial hassels.

NMU Admission Process
Candidates seeking admission to NMU can register online through the official website and submit the required application form along with the application fee. The necessary steps to follow during the application process are given below:
- Visit the official website of NMU.

NMU Facilities
- Gymnasium: The NMU has a well developed and furnished gymnasium. The gymnasium consists of 12 sections, wrist Conditioner, Vertical Leg Press, Standing Leg Squat, Pumping Cycle, Exercise Cycle With rowing Action, Pulling, Twister, Roman Chair, Hyperextension, Bench Press cum Shoulder Press, high pulling, dipping hip flexor etc. The facility of constructor is also provided in the gymnasium.
- Sports: the university also provides sports facilities in indoor and outdoor stadiums. The games which are played include an 8 lane running track with hockey and football ground, Kabaddi ground, kho kho grounds, basketball, volleyball, tennis court, ball badminton.
- Library: The well maintained central library of NMU has a collection of various books, journals and periodicals on different subjects. There are also 4000+ E journals available. Besides this, the university has almost 8,700 prestigious high impact research journals in the world.

The candidate seeking admission to the 2 Year Full-time M.Sc program should have passed B.Sc with Microbiology from the recognized University. The fee for the MSc in Microbiology is INR 6700
If you are interested for 2nd year admission, then lateral entry admission to NMU Jalgaon is not available.
Yes, you are surely eligible after B.Tech Electrical for M.Sc courses when you appear for IITJAM exam followed by counselling. However, NMU Jalgaon doesn’t offer the same.
You should have passed class 12 or equivalent to be eligible. For admission to BMS at NMU, you also require MHT CET exam scores. Read more: NMU Admissions

NMU does not conduct any entrance tests for admission to its undegraduate programs. The univeristy admissions to its undegraduate programs based on merit of MHT CET for B.Tech, BBA, BCA, BMS, BBM. Admission to the rest of the undegraduate programs is based on academic merit.
