Course Curriculum Overview

3

The course all over consists of almost all the subjects needed but not solely enough to get a good job and it lacks practical knowledge needed for placement in companies moreover focusing on just passing the exams. The subjects and programming languages taught covered all subjects but more or less the basics and theoretical complex sides.

Placement Experience

1

From 6 semester students become eligible for placement but if not trained individually by doing courses from coursera or YouTube then one cannot crack exams. College forces everyone to do a course from coursera every semester in order to get a job. And some companies like Accenture stoped hiring mid way, and Wipro did not reply after 2nd round only releasing the shortlisted student list for interview, and no interview were scheduled few companies like LT midtree and cognizant DN program gave placement opportunities with LT mindtree hiring 25-30 students and DN program being the only mass hiring opportunity . The average package being 4.5-4lpa only. Till now i did not get any reply of rejection or selection process mail from cognizant and wipro, and college has no answers. Now i have to bridge my skills after college according to company to get a job.

Fees and Financial Aid

During the admissions I paid 95000 one time for admission in which fee for the1st semester was included and then 70000 per semester fee for rest of the 7 semesters. And semester exam fee of 1000-1500.

Campus Life

3

Campus life was not good as cultural activities were not such big deal in our college and gys were not available for all students and only for some students that also only for 2-3 days a week. The games or physical activity period were removed after 3rd sem or so . Only classes and lunch break.

Admission

I took admission in this college as I did not get a good rank in jee to get admission in any IIT of top tier colleges and had not option of a 1year drop and preparation. But that was my mistake to hurry and take admission in any college I got admission in without breaking my academic flow for something good. I got admission in UEM kolkata just by going to thier admission office and giving the needed documents and fee

Faculty

4

About the faculty some of were too strict to question about anything. Some faculty members are good and helpful enough to guide the students, but the student-faculty ratio is absurd as college asks for 80% attendance but classes are too much crowded on such days with 1 teaching faculty for 65-70+ students. As some faculty are good enough but the class ratio makes it difficult to teach or learn.

Night Life

1

No gym access and no night life in college only once in a year for function preparation allowing only handful of students. The daily college campus timings were from 9:15am to 4:15 pm everyday from monday to friday. Don't know much about hostel but students found stapler pin in hostel food and told the food was not good.

Students become eligible from the 7th semester and that's when the companies start approaching. In 2025, for biotechnology, companies such as TCS, Cognizant, Capgemini, Nestle, Zifo visited. A total of 12 offers were made. 50% students were placed among who registered. I am currently pursuing M.E in BIOPROCESS TECHNOLOGY from JADAVPUR UNIVERSITY.

For campus placements student become eligible from the 7th semester onwards and for internships student get eligible from 5th semester onwards. Wide no of companies visited our campus around 180+ and made around 580+ offers to the students. The highest salary was 58LPA which was offered by DE Shaw and the highest accepted salary was 51LPA in Microsoft. The average package rolls roughly around 10-12 LPA.The profile offered include SDE roles, management roles, finance in some cases. The overall placement percentage was around 80% with Branches like electrical and metallurgy moving above 90% followed by CSE and ECE in the mid 80s while for biotech and civil the placement percentage are generally below 70.My plans after getting the degree is to land a job offer from on campus placements.Therefafter maybe look out for and MBA from top B schools of india.

The college hosts a range of companies including TCS,Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Cognizant etc but iam not agree and satisfied with college internship and placement support The overall average placement ranges between 60-70 percent sometimes varying but not providing good internships to students also companies are not picking many students only hiring about 4-5 students, I don't think the college has good membership with companies.
