Course Curriculum Overview

1

I am core in CSE Cybersecurity. And now realised I made a mistake. Ig not only me Networks, CST, CSIT, AI-ML, Robotics everyone is regretting as none of them finding experienced faculties for their own department. As these dept were joined in CSE in the very recent time at our college. In the name of ESP and SDP and Humanities as a co-carriculum subject they are teaching us history, geography, how to sleep in class, how to right way to waste your money etc etc.

Placement Experience

3

Being a Tier-3 college in comparision to other colleges at this level, I'll say the placement is a lili bit better. Atleast more or less they bring some companies (of course don't except any tycoon name). So if you are enable to learn some skills and gain very basic knowledge in your niche atleast you will not find yousell jobless after 4 years no matter how less salary they offer you, sometimes even lesser than a chaiwalaa. :)

Fees and Financial Aid

1.1L per sem and 2 sem every yr that is why 2.2 Lakhs per year. Consider more 5k/yr for other stuff like exam reg fee, lab accessories etc. In first year 10k for dress and shoes and10k for books. They charge 1.2L+/yr for hostel (few of my friends stay there) excluding transportation(college bus) fees which is 6k/month. So, for a freshly joinee guy: Est. 4.4 lakhs per year total (including hostel). They run a scholarship in the name of financial aid programme for extremly needed student (job loss, family member death vice-versa) where they cover upto 1.2L per yr.

Campus Life

3

If you are talking about annual festival or stuff like that we didn't even got a welcome geture from the collge. In last 13 months there was only so called festival happen 'Creasta' (and of course don't except any famous or celebraty or vip person there). And for you clarity in these festival you will dance, you will sing and you will enjoy, I mean all by yourself. Now if I need to talk about tech fest, I will say a solid 3 out of 5. More or less you'll find poster compettition, 1 or 2 hackathon in every sem and orientation programme and few stull like these. And in the club or group field our college is in the early stage. Maybe there is 1-2 sports and gaming clubs are available to. Library has a good range of books and journals.

Admission

If you want to join ths college you have give IEMJEE (their own admission exam) or through WBJEE Exam. But don't worry pal half of it's admission is done by management quota and rest of the seat is seal by external broker. But if you are coming through WBJEE and if you have a TFW quota, you will find a huge discount in admission fees.

Faculty

2

In every sem 2 internal and one final exam. And in every exam there are lab+theory.(Once I calculated if there is 18 months of classes, 8-9 months of it is exam season). And don't worry folk there is classes after mid-term internal exam. So if you can handle these kind of situation you are welcome. Of course most of the time the faculties don;t get enough time to complete the syllbuses and huge pressure comes to you head. The faculty to student ratio is ok but for many particular domain there is a shortage of faculties sometime 0. Whatever in the most of the cases the faculties are humble enough for the students no matter what are their teaching capabilities. Ig that is the one of the good forture of ours.

Night Life

2

Bunking classes inside campus is possible but the chance is very less, I'll say 0.1% of 6.5k student (do the math and find out the possibility). And the possibility of bunking a class outside the college during college hour (9:30-4:10) is 0.00%, yes you read that right even a fly can't cross the campus premises during that 7 hours. But if you don't come college or after collge, there is shopping mall nearby named 'DownTown Mall', PVR is there inside it and a foodcore nearby too named 'Rossdell', many food outlets are there.

Students become eligible from the 7th semester and that's when the companies start approaching. In 2025, for biotechnology, companies such as TCS, Cognizant, Capgemini, Nestle, Zifo visited. A total of 12 offers were made. 50% students were placed among who registered. I am currently pursuing M.E in BIOPROCESS TECHNOLOGY from JADAVPUR UNIVERSITY.

For campus placements student become eligible from the 7th semester onwards and for internships student get eligible from 5th semester onwards. Wide no of companies visited our campus around 180+ and made around 580+ offers to the students. The highest salary was 58LPA which was offered by DE Shaw and the highest accepted salary was 51LPA in Microsoft. The average package rolls roughly around 10-12 LPA.The profile offered include SDE roles, management roles, finance in some cases. The overall placement percentage was around 80% with Branches like electrical and metallurgy moving above 90% followed by CSE and ECE in the mid 80s while for biotech and civil the placement percentage are generally below 70.My plans after getting the degree is to land a job offer from on campus placements.Therefafter maybe look out for and MBA from top B schools of india.

The college hosts a range of companies including TCS,Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Cognizant etc but iam not agree and satisfied with college internship and placement support The overall average placement ranges between 60-70 percent sometimes varying but not providing good internships to students also companies are not picking many students only hiring about 4-5 students, I don't think the college has good membership with companies.
