Dislikes
- Too many exams and quizzes which sometimes creates fuzz and might not option for all
- Only people who have given jee can apply, so it's not open opportunity for everyone
- The girl to boy ratio is very high but it might not be a problem unless boys make it a huge issue calling out like it's girls quota
Course Curriculum Overview
In the first year of your college, the curriculum will be same for all the branches, and the syllabus is also according to that which students might feel irrelevant as it is not related to their branch but in the second year and onwards it changes. The exams are indeed little tough but doable and teachers do help with the exam if one truly studies right and does hardwork. Also there is a feedback for in each semester that u can fill to give your reviews about the syllabus
Internships Opportunities
Many companies like microsoft jp Morgan etc come to the college with a good stipend and many people get ppo also, also there are other courses to develop the personality of an individual so as to attend the interview excellently, mostly people do get internships in the 6th sem and these are paid internships
Placement Experience
Campus placements are offered and internships are also offered in the 3rd year, many new branches are also being introduced to the curriculum. Placements are according to the branch and capability of the student. There is good placement ratio.
Fees and Financial Aid
I do not pay the fees as i have a scholarship under pmsss scheme for jammu kashmir and ladakh people but other student do pay their fees which is around 94000 per semester and hostel fees is 81500 per annum
Campus Life
Campus Life is good though it is a small campus but it is full of greenery and beautiful it might feel too little for some people but every facility it provided it has a pec market within it . Students have to join atleast one club which adds to the grade, enhaving social factors also the college organises yearly fest where alot of people from all around chandigarh come so it's a nice experience overall
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facility is good for girls can't say the same for boys, girls mess and everything else is good as girls are lesser in number so quality is not compromised, kc hostel is best. I stayed in hostel and I had best time so I don't regret it also hotel is affordable it cost 81500 per annum excluding mess charges which will be around 3500 rupee per month
Admission
I got into this college because it was on my priority list and was nearer to my house. Also it has good reviews when I was doing research about it and it's safe to say that I'm satisfied with the college. I did applied to other colleges but this was on my priority list. To get admission, u need good jee score , according to. Your jee rank u get the branch
Faculty
Some faculty members are nice and sweet while some are sadist like they will never teach but will deduct a lot of marks, while some are really knowledgeable. However, we can approach faculty at any time easily . Recently I had a doubt in chemistry exam so I called the chemistry teacher and she showed me the quiz which they usually never, so it was nice. Also there will be time to time quizzes , 2-3 quizzes per subject and mid sems ad end sems
Night Life
There is gym, swimming pool, market, Nescafe, library, pec market, admin stairs, football ground, badminton court, basketball court and what else, it has a lot of places where people hangout , most common would be pec market and for couples it would be library. Though night life is in the hostel only as the hostel in timings are 9 pm
Other Applied Colleges
