Remarks

I'm not sure about that. There are many places I think our college can improve at like the infrastrcuture is something. But I've seen work gping on that. The academic part, the overall improvement of a student should be concerned and looked after. The canteen food is worse so it needs a serious improvement. The guard at the parking lot was really bad with his behaviour. The library facility was okay.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is adopted from that of Utkal University with five compulsory subjects and two more if you choose to do honours. There are two exams through out the session but the marks of semi is'nt taken to the final calculations. Only the final exam is something conducted seriously with all papers of 100 marks. The question pattern included five long questions of 20 marks each. Though they had changed the syllabus and exam pattern to semester wise according to the CBCS conduct pattern now.

Placement Experience

0.5

No, there are no placement facilities through my college and it do not provide any internship. There is no post graduation facility available in my college so there are no placement facilities or internship schemes.

College Events

2.5

Republic Day, Ganesh Puja, Saraswati Puja, Durga Puja and Dusshera for religious touch, Independence day and others include annual meet, fests and events like that. There are even competetions throughout the year on different occasions.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It's feasible. There are admission charges for the first time admissors and then every year there is one readmission charge. Beside that there is a monthly fees amount which they take at the mid session and that is not a too expensive amount. Plus they take exam fees included in that.

Fees and Financial Aid

I dont know about any loan facility though, our college has some scholarship facility for merit students. I did not had any scholarship programme so I dont know about that. But if there is any one may consult to the principal or the office staff.

Campus Life

3

Yes there are labs, they have activities every week and there are sports facilities too. They are good. We have galleries for science students for every subject and specialised labs with required and adequate equipments for practicals.

Hostel Facilities

3

I did'nt opt for hostel as I was a student from the same city. I used to have my own arrangement to college. Though my friends opted for,the hostel is their in the campus itself. The infrastructure is kinda good and adjustable. The food facilities depend on self liking and taste so I would not comment on that. The charges are okay and depends on the type of accomodation you prefer for.

Alumni/Alumna

It again differs from person to person. I would say some are good and helpful and some are tortureous. Some only help to learn filth like ragging, abusing, commenting and all sort of bullshits while others will help you to grow. There are two different sides of a coin wherever you go

Admission

I got admission to my college through merit list. I was selected in the first selection and I took admission there. I scored 81.77% on my 10th CBSE board exams. I filed the online admission for and I was selected on the merit list.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty like every other college comprises of both the good ones and not so good ones. Though I would not judge that on basis of their knowledge because they would be more knowledgeable than me on their respective fields but I would say that based on their behavourial approach. Some professors were good with explaining the basics and details, helping the students with concepts and practical knowledge. Some just come to take a class and rush away as soon as they can. They would not listen well to what someone is asking and have a bad response. Some were really helpful.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 5th semester. Our college has a dedicated placement department that really guides and supports us through the whole process. Big companies like Deloitte and KPMG visit the campus every year, and since I’m doing B.Com + ACCA, there are plenty of great opportunities in finance and accounting. Last year, around 8 students from the B.Com batch got placed in finance roles. The average package was about ?6 LPA. The best part is that placements keep getting better every year, and the college has maintained a 100% placement record. They’ve even tied up with foreign companies, which opens up more global opportunities for us. After completing my degree, I plan to build a strong career in finance—hopefully starting with a reputed company like Deloitte or KPMG—and later explore opportunities abroad.

Placement Experience:

The college offers placement through the COC (Career Opportunities) cell. Students become eligible for placements by the 5th Semester. The companies which come to hire include the Big 4s, (KPMG, Delloite, EY and BCG), Fedral Bank,TCS, etc. Almost 70% of students opt for higher eduaction so the less number of students get placed at the UG level at least. I am personally figuring out which path to choose but I have placement in mind at the end of the degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My specific aspect of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose the course is the ACCA along with Bcom. Most importantly the 9 paper exemptions provided that gives flexibility in the context of studying. The curriculum is well corporate and real world oriented. They prepare us on how to face the real corporate world through their curriculum by conducting different seminars and workshops.
