What Students Say

Likes

The thing about Du is general is that their fests are fun so you get to meet many people and get internships at the fests.
The campus is pretty decent and has a huge ground for fests and other things
There is no much attendance issue if your attendance is more than 50%

Dislikes

the administration is slow if you have any grievances.
there are no Air conditioners and fans are very slow too
some of the professors do not take classes all semester if they are in any council

Course Curriculum Overview

the curriculum is pretty good and modern. you have many options to choose for your general elective. there are practicals like tally, excel which helps you in landing a job. so overall the course is relevant and up to date

Internships Opportunities

there is generally 1-3 government departments internships otherwise there's this internship fair where you can apply for lot of internships and get selected. You should must do 2-3 internships in your 3 years of college

Placement Experience

Placements are decent in my college. Companies like EY, Delloite, PWC comes for recruitment in last year of you college you can sit for the interview. The conversion % is around 20-30. the package offered is generally 4-5LPA

Fees and Financial Aid

You only have to pay around 50000 for the entire course which is very reasonable. There's no as such extra fee but every semester you have to fill an examination form which costs around 1100-1500. I feel 17000-18000 a year is very decent for the education you get.

Campus Life

The campus life is okay. The library has many books and it is air conditioned. The societies are pretty active and good. Major societies are Placement Cell, Commtalks, FIC etc. our college is also politically active

Admission

The admission process is pretty easy. Here you have to give cuet first and after the results you can fill your application form on Csas portal of du. Here you can make a preference list. this college was my 12th preference. My top preferences were notth campus colleges and Venketeshwara and then Arsd.

Faculty

The examinations are pretty easy if you solve pyqs and shivdas. sometimes the accounting paper is challenging. the faculty is helpful but the administration is not. you have to wait a lot for any issue.

Night Life

there are no hostels in my college. But the srea near by is full of cafes and clubs which makes it a perfect place for friends to just hangout. There are many pgs and flats near by for out station students.

Fun and average sometimes

We have placements fairs in our college and it is mostly offered to all the courses and to students of all the years. But most of them are for bcom h or eco honours students. There are internships for 1st yearies too but most of them wants 2nd or 3rd year students.

From college to cafes : the du evening life

Placement Experience:

To be honest , unlike north campus shaheed bhagat singh evening college does not have strong campus placemnets . Wipro , TCS , Genpact and many other companies visited in 5th - 6th semester . their average package is around 1-2 lakhs per annum only . highest package would be around 3 lakh per annum . 10-20% of students gets placed only . my plan is to prepare for MBA for further studies while persuing some internships , or any data analytics or business analytics course , depending upon the interest .

More Than Just Classes: Life at Delhi university.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d say the B.Com (Hons.) curriculum is quite relevant and covers important subjects like Accounting, Finance, Law, and Management, which was one reason I chose this course. It does build a strong base for CA, MBA, or govt. exams, but some parts still feel too theory-based and outdated. DU should add more practical exposure, case studies, and industry-linked content. We usually have internals mid-semester and finals at the end — they’re manageable if you study regularly, but tricky if left for the last minute.

Placement Experience:

The placement is quite good at Hansraj. Students become eligible in their sixth semester to sit for campus placements. Some well known companies include Deloitte, ZS associates, Bain and Co., McKinsey, BCG, Pwc, KPMG, HDFC, Kotak Bank, and many more well known names. Highest package of this year went up to 24 LPA and average package stands at 7 LPA. The median package stands at 8 LPA. Most number of offers were made by finance and consulting companies and their roles. 80% of the students who sat for their placement got placed. My plans after getting the degree is to sit for the placement and get a decent package in finance background and after 2 years of good experience I plan on getting an MBA from a top B school.

Placement Experience:

From 7 th semester students are eligible for campus placements. Companies like big fours(Deloitte ,etc.), reliance ,etc visted and about 3-4 lakh rupees package they are giving . Highest placement is 13 lakhs per annum. About 60 percent students getting placed . I want to do job in Deloitte

So I didn't really apply to any of the colleges I filled the preference sheet in the csas portal and I got selected in this college. I chose this college because it was very convenient for me, not that far and not that close from my house. No I didn't get any rejection from any other colleges. The admission process for my college is through CUET conducted by NTA, The eligibility for my course is atleast 45% in 10+2 and the exam accepted for my course is CUET only. CUET is the exam mostly preferred by the students, cutoffs for this exam for my course was 650 for general and around 550 for my category. Arsd - Star of south campus

I was made to prepare a list of colleges that provided the course that I opted for. So I made a list of all thr college in accordance to my convenience and what I wished to get into. My first priority was obviously a north campus college such as hindu college, kirori mal, hansraj and likewise. Then I proceeded to add the rest of the topmost colleges that came under south campus. I somehow got the chance to give it a try for JMC too as it also provides 50% of its seats to christian minorties but I wasn't really looking forward to get into an all girls college for some reason, so I left it then and there....Read More

ARSD Emerging College of South Campus (NIRF 7)

To get admission into ARSD College or any other college in the University of Delhi you should have an aggregate of 60% at least. 12th appearing or 12th pass. You have to give CUET (Central University Entrance Test) and score as high as you can. Application fees for General, OBC, and EWS candidates are RS 600. For ST, SC RS 550. For applying last date will be the first week of march and the exam will be conducted in the last week of May. It may vary. Delhi University Releases its cut-off based on CUET Scores for various colleges. I availed reservation of OBC NCL which is 27% of seats. My score of CUET was 609 and I got ARSD College.
